Independent Bernie Sanders could save us from losing to the worst possible waste of good oxygen…tRump since the deadline to file only ended in 8 states and he could be a write-in candidate there. His popularity and name recognition would mean a landslide win because all those haters the duopoly lost would have a candidate to vote FOR, rather than just against.
Sure down ballot defections from split tickets are possible but that would be on the D’s for not drafting Bernie to run as a Democrat.

I don't think we are giving enough consideration and weight to Biden's strong personal relationships both nationally and internationally which have allowed him to be so effective. There is no replacement for decades of trust. I had not considered potential legal challenges to someone other than Biden running. Such an upheaval may not be surmountable quickly enough (especially with Supreme Court delay). During the primary, my vote for Biden considered the strength of the entire Democratic administration (both candidates are clearly beyond average life expectancy). Biden is unlikely to be misunderstood due to occasional senior moments. Trump is clearly unfit for office due to corrupt behavior and a plan to basically destroy our democracy (with proof of already undermining many essential democratic processes, and institutions).
Just like my diaper, I will contuine to run!

We never even got to see a debate between candidates. We didnt get to see him speak live without a teleprompter once, atleast that i remember.
Joe Biden had to accomplish ONE THING during that debate. He needed to be lively, to appear young and youthfull. The #1 concern any dem voter had, or has, about Biden's electability has been his age. And his people have hidden him away for what feels like 2 years, and just DECIDED who would be nominated for us the whole time like the primaries were a joke. We didnt choose anyone else during the primaries because WE COULDN'T.

Eh nice try but you can't compare the current Republican party situation with Biden and the Democrat party situation — everyone knows the GOP establishment is against and has been against Trump since 2015 but they resigned themselves to the reality the base wanted him over theirs and everyone else's objections within that establishment and the media, Trump is like the unstoppable Juggernaut and they have to let that play out.. But over on the Democratic party side it's a very different story, the only way Biden got that plum position was because the Democratic party establishment gifted it to him in 2020, and all the establishment big donors supported the move, Biden is completely leveraged on the establishment in a way that Trump is not, if you pull the scaffolding out from under this enterprise it'll come down on everyone like a matchstick tower— Biden is not self funded and he can't rely on small dollar donations, he's completely at the mercy of the donor class and to a large extent the friendliness of the media establishment, and the Dem establishment who have to lobby on his behalf to the donor class
Since the primary a lot has changed with the debate, and the little slips, slur, freezing etc are only going to get worse, not better, just reality
