Ethiopia’s Chapel in the Sky
Ethiopia’s Chapel in the Sky
If churches were assessed by their risk factor, Abuna Yemata Guh would be our new Sistine Chapel. Perched 650 feet above a steep cliff in Northern Ethiopia, visitors face a 45-minute climb up the cliff’s vertical face in order to access the precariously positioned church. Dating back to the 5th century, history has it that its founder Father…

The Tigre tribe are semetic. They are Israelites of antiquities. Like many Africans.
Its a beautiful spot for chapel, how long did it take you to climp up to it?
Ok, it's cool and all, but like do they have fellowship and coffee after the service? I can't imagine it's easy to carry a casserole that far. What about daycare? Also, how is parking, and is there a noon mass? Sometimes I have Run club in the morning and that can make it difficult to get to church on time.
I wonder how many people have fell when climbing it?
At 2:38 i see some bore holes where there was probably a guard railing. I wonder why it's not there anymore?
I wonder; has anyone ever fallen to their peril in this climb.
ትግራይ ❤❤❤❤❤
When you all realise that the God of scripture is actually YOU. And also Jesus is you as awareness. You will wake up and say “oh yeh now I get it .
Jesus =you in every day life
GOD= your subconscious mind.
ie, “no one gets to the father except through me “
Father =subconscious mind .
Think of a desire you may have .go to sleep thinking and feeling as if it were true now .impress your subconscious mind.
=your desire will come true in ways you don’t understand.we are all connected we are as one conscious awareness as a human species.that’s the god of scripture.
In us .not outside of us .
WE ARE GOD .
What a place!
How they climb down ? Same way ?
God bless Ethiopia!
Climbing up is difficult enough, climbing back down would be most frightening! If I knew god was in that cave I still would not climb up there!
Let's make sure we have the right version of the original message, and not a tainted one, and make sure we are worshipping the right being.
reminds me of the Dune movie…astonishing
Climbing a dangerous path to worship a non-existing god. Twice as foolish. Oh, and by all means bring the kids!
I can see why that would make for a powerful experience, particularly the investment of a two hour hike / climb either way. It's far from being a convenience down the street that you either take or leave.
The camera man never dies. Remember that.
Climbing is very difficult… but how they get down? 😮
God bless my tigray

I would like to make such a climb and see the inside for myself. It really is those last 7-10 feet to the entrance that are the most stressing. Nothing on the wall to hold onto or grab if your foot slips.
Se decía que los dioses griegos,banqueteaban con sus símil Etíopes.esto es demostración cristiana de su poder.igual los dioses existen en nuestras mentes .gracias por la demostración de Fe.
