  1. Well done! Great recipe, thank you. On an unrelated note, it is heartbreaking to see the same people with the same food, traditions, religions, languages, etc., being deceived by selfish politicians into fighting against each other and perceiving themselves as different instead of as brothers. My wife's family is from the Eritrea region, and I didn't even realize it until later in our relationship. I believe in thinking globally first, and when we allow divisions, we become susceptible to other, hence a dictator for over 30 years and will transfer power to his son. In my opinion a tragedy with no bounds.

  2. yours looks better than mine. Mine looks more watery and I'm certain it is. I added some water in fear of the vegetables burning. On top of that my vegetables are al dente, It does taste good, but I'm sure I didn't achieve the real Eritrean flavor.

  3. Thanks for sharing. I find it interesting that the garlic and ginger are added near the end of the cooking process. In Indian cooking, they are usual added near the beginning.

  4. Would have been so nice if you said how much turmeric, ginger, garlic, and salt and pepper to use. The list of ingredients at the end scrolls by too fast, and pausing blurred it for me, making searching the comment section necessary to try to find out how how much of each ingredient to use.
