  1. Untrue statement. Amhara people has never ever marginalized other Ethiopians in the history. It was the monarchal system that rules Ethiopia involved in marginalization of ones over the other.

  2. The fact is the so-called "civil war" in Ethiopia was one of the most devastating, if not the most devastating war during the cold war era. In this war, Eritreans, with a tiny population of about three million people fought against an illegal occupation of their country by Ethiopia, wth more than ten times the population of Eritrea at that time. A bitter war of attriition in ww1 like trenchs was fought mostly in the rugged mountains of Sahel province in Eritrea which ended with the victory of Eritreans who drove out the occupying Ethiopian army on May 24 1991.

  3. Thank you for carefully researched work and for presenting it to your audience without distorting facts! I've read a number of history books and news articles relating to Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia. Everything you presented seats within the context of what I've read, but there are several YouTubers that present false narrative in order to serve their own agenda or the agenda of those who pay them. Because you presented the truth, I've subscribed to your channel. Thank you and please keep doing what you are doing!

  4. Invaded by the British in 1940?
The British were too tied up with the battle of Britain to get involved in Abyssinia.
From what I read, it was the South Africans that struck the Italians from Kenya soon after Italy declared war on Britain.
I read the South African Air Force was the only air force that opposed the Italians, their first strike was on an Italian airbase operating from Kenya. They say the Italians were not expecting any attack from the south, were expecting an attack from the north as there was RAF presence in Egypt.

  5. Was it intentional to not mention Djibouti French colony? Djibouti was supposed to be returned to Ethiopia in 1999 (per French Ethiopia treaty in the 19th century). Because of the Cold War computation Djibouti was made independent. The westerners don’t like to mention this fact. I wonder why?

  6. I am sorry I'm not an Ethiopian by origin.
I'm a South Sudanese….. but, based on this summery of your History, Sir !!
You are not accurate on your research.
Please don't mislead your the public or your followers.
    Thank-you sir

  7. Your narratives are mostly distorted since you were not there as an eye-witness journalist when the events were taking place in Ethiopia at that time.

For example, it seems that you don't have any clue whatsoever about the fact that the current leader of Eritrea, Isaias Afewerki, was secretly recruited by Emperor Haile Sellassie and was trained by the then Middle-East CIA Operatve, Richard Copeland, to infiltrate and destroy from within the Islamic Organization of Jebha in the Eritrean desert.

Isaias Afewerki accomplished his secret mission by completely destroying the Islamic Organization of Jebha in Eritrea.

  8. Highland Eritrea was part of the Ethiopian Empire for centuries, and both the highlands and the coast were part of Axum in deeper history – this is a big part of Ethiopia viewing federation as an outside imposition on the resolution of a long-standing grievance (Italy's theft of Eritrea from Ethiopia). Not saying it's my opinion, but Ethiopia's actions weren't random.

  9. Geldof FAMOUSLY screwed up. The DERG turned around and exchanged all the aid they got from Geldof and his band aid/live aid "efforts" with the Soviet Union for weapons. And everyone found out. It was a big scandal in 1986, mostly forgotten today.

Bad enough that Geldof was basically selling guilty white people absolution through celebration, but the fact that it ended up materially supporting the very manufactured famine that it was supposed to help alleviate, well, Bob Geldof deserves a lot of very bad things for that.

  10. First of all don’t call Ethiopia Abyssinia.such naming s a narrative to deny the oldest history of Ethiopia .After all Ethiopia signed the League of Nations as Ethiopia not as Abyssinia.

  11. @1:08 Ethiopia is Ethiopia ever since the Most High created the earth eight thousand years ago. devilish england who envies our great God given name Ethiopia gave us the extra word "abysinia". Ethiopia was a very large powerful country and the whole world will see Ethiopia's Renaissance in the near future, western conspiracy against Ethiopia that has been going on for the past six hundred years will be destroyed by the grrat power of the Most High the King of King's Selassie.

  12. as I saw this video is about the cold war made me sad. As Ethiopia right now is fighting a civil war. 😟
looks like racism isn't a white thing. black people are equal in madness.
