Wars are expensive, and the inflation rate in Ethiopia is 29.13% (2023).
Security is the basic platform for economic growth, it makes no sense that the GoE has gone to war with Amhara. Only narrow interests seem to be acted out at present.

The use of more coins is an indisputable truism! Discarding the dollar by creating another currency in its place is exchanging 6 for half a dozen. Swap the right for the doubtful! Another currency means DISCARDING other currencies from dozens of countries. This would scare those interested, as currency is national sovereignty and speculators would dictate the rules. BRICS, through its bank, must act as a moderator, guarantor of the contracts. Through EXCHANGE HEDGE, or some contract insurance. Example: an importer imports goods from Russia valued at 10 million rubles, let's say 3 million reais on the day of purchase. Through currency hedging, BRICS BANK guarantees that the parties receive exactly what is in the contract, regardless of the term. If the importer in this case wants to pay with Saudi Arabian currency, that's fine, with African currency, nothing changes. This Brics Bank guarantee would include any currency in the world, even for countries that are not part of the bloc. Including the US dollar. Dedollarizing does not mean MARGINALIZING any currency, otherwise it is not a serious thing.
