  1. As a Nigerian it’s very interesting watching how someone as bold as Mac G being so brave to say the truth & everyone with their sensitive attitude jump on to criticise him. I’m guessing Tyla is the only precious star in South Africa or?? Because even certain afrobeats artists are industry plants & Nigerians point it out with no backlash and we just move on with it. But it seems with Tyla you guys are butthurt. (Just my opinion no xenophobic intent)

  2. Its true Sol, the Billionares can get away with everything. They have the world in their hands. Thats why our middle class and poor people will suffer and the rich will stay rich. When we grow up, people go through life and grow apart in a good way but no need to have a bestie..

  3. One thing about Mac G, he is never happy when other people make it in life..He has been hating on Tyla from Day 1. I remember how he used to hate on uncle Waffles when she first shot to fame.He has a very dark place in his heart.. The very same dark place where accusations if pedophilia in Joseph Dari came from..And this is the same person we have been feeling sorry for when they wanted to cancel him..Content shouldn’t be about bringing other ppl down..

  4. Did we miss Tyla literally touring and opening for Chris Brown? The other single she released and the music video she released? Are we mizing the fact that tiktok is platform that has allowed people to reach STARDOM level? The Monets and Alix Earls? Haibo

  5. MacG and Sol for the first time i bought Chillers punch and Grandeur at Makro bare in mind i don't drink 🍻 but i gifted my cousin with it. I walk out there like a Princess it feels good to support our own.

  6. All this hate you have for young successful girls will eventually lead to your downfall, i remember you would spend half an episode hating on waffles even saying she'll fall off but her talent and consistency proved you wrong. You're a complete hater bro, now you have shifted hate towards Tyla. Every week you keep throwing shade on her, she's a success because she works hard and is talented, you can't downplay that to some "sold her soul". She became a star through tiktok and a major role played by going on tour with chris brown. You can compare her to the likes of rema and ice spice who got instant stardom

  7. Naar Mac Tyler is one of the best vocalist in SA she's got Vocal cord of the likes of CiCi, Piege etc she works hard for that Grammy even her first hit amapiyano song is international standard.

  8. Overnight success is questionable….so is Tyler fan base and brand credentials so yes it's a pure fact…not contaminated by a single little stain…. Tyler got the Grammy nomination but that looking at her work ethic is questionable and I respect Macg for his resilience even after cyan tried to use this against him the last time he mentioned her…..here he is bold and brave saying his truth on his platform that he build this big thus far based on the same unfashionable style called "authentic "

Big up MACG…..Let everyone who does hear you join the majority when you with me and few others standing for the truth ❤❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉

  9. Tyla had a million views on Instagram before the Flourish and Multiply (FAX) management, and she achieved that while she was in school, she started singing covers in 2013 on YouTube.

    The Water Rise
Tyla's water performance at Uncle Waffles' Coachella set is what made the song popular. Then afterwards the song blew up on Tiktok and got 10 million views on YouTube in 2 weeks as a result of the trend, and during that time she was still in SA. She was called to America to perform in Bianca then other media houses took the opportunity to interview her which influenced her to be based there as she was in demand. Once the song reached the billboard Afropop/beat and debuted at number 1, she was offered a contract by Epic Records. From then on Epic re released the song, and it debuted at number 64 and peaked at number 7. It stayed on the charts on various platforms till she won the Grammy.

    What was happening before "Water"

She had a total view count of over 10 million on YouTube and over 100k subscribers, so she was already popular.
She was the lead act to the Season 3, Blood and Water Soundtrack album.
She was performing at various music festivals across the Globe including the tour with Chris Brown and Uncle Waffles.
She was also studying at University and High School through all that

  10. Mac is so ignorant, fact checker ena keo ha checke li fact, Tyla has been working. Shawty did overdue(for Blood & Water), and "To Last", she got feaured on Kelvin Momo's Amukelani( the album that had Drake giving Momo praises), To records like been thinking which had a carribean like feel to it(Toss was a video vixen in that video) to records with Ayra Starr, to modelling in milan for brands like Dolce to getting hated on by bo Kim Kardashian to touring with Chris Brown, to making "Water" …..typed this on the back of my head because shawty's come up wasn't targeted just for Africa but international markets markets….y'all are too big for such ignorance

  11. Mac learn to celebrate others. You are also rated number 1 in Africa but that doesnt mean that there aint any other podcasts better than yours. We still support and celebrate u and i wish u could also do the same. U acting like someone who doesnt wanna see other people do better than u… that attitude will cost u man. Do better , we still still love u❤. Tyla is a very talented young woman n she is doing well and raising SA’s flag high, let’s all be happy for her

  12. Hai Mac you are reaching with the Tyla hate comments. Are we seriously saying you need a body of work to be a Grammy winner? Or are we in disbelief that we have a South African that made it to Grammy stage with one great song?!

  13. Lol Tyla is talented in many ways….She got the look ,a beautiful coloured woman, the moves ,the voice the finesse. .Haiiii she's fire and that's why she won a Grammy. She has an amazing team
