This hits the heart right in the feels. My oldest brother is battling addiction with drugs and alcohol, while his kids are growing up wondering where their father is. Wondering if he will make it another day before his addiction wins. I just hope that he realizes that it doesnt just affect him, but his family. Its truly sad..

This broke me further. As a parent, you don't t have to face addiction to feel unworthy of being called mom/dad. All you think about is the things you did wrong and not the lessons it may have provided. I have faced addiction with alcohol and look back at the time I wasted not being there for my kids emotionally because I am a broken and shattered woman. The trauma, guilt and pain never goes away. This song is powerful in so many ways, but I just can't listen to it or watch it ever again. It's too raw and emotional for me as a terminally disabled mom who still gets up and endures. Time is what life is made of and it's what you do with that precious time that you can't buy or get back
