Makes it affordable please!

@SALISU-k3h

He should make it affordable so far as our poverty rate is higher in Africa especially Ghana.

@CHAPPAJANVISION

Africa must stay vigilant.

@BarryRolle

Musk has no use for Blacks, but he will certainly take their money. Damn fools 😢

@leszjacobs1637

@worldtechlab

@QatarGasgroup

Elon musk will rake in alot of money in Africa

@eliraymond8092

Isn’t it funny we are worried about its high cost yet local internet providers are scared it will kick them out of market. That should tell you about the very high cost of internet in these regions, at least I can talk of Ghana, expensive yet poor service.
We were happy to hear that starlink was coming but its high initial cost makes it something for the few.

@Kyile2014love

Go SPACEX go STARLINK

@James-uq1nu

Here are the REAL ISSUES IN SOUTH AFRICA.

1. Elon Musk doesn't want to comply with ICASA regulations in South Africa. You can't just beam EMR (electromagnetic radiation) to random countries. We regulate spectrum, and we sell spectrum just like real estate.

2. We have a 74% internet penetration rate and 80% surface coverage, provided by well-established local internet service providers. These companies hire locals, pay taxes, and, in some cases, the government is part-owner. They are traded on the JSE, allowing us all to buy stocks.

3. Countries that accept Starlink before establishing their own ISPs will obliterate their chances of developing their own telecom companies. They will remain at the mercy of Elon Musk and the USA.

4. Those who say it is because of BEE are telling lies. The BEE aspect might be mentioned by some as a potential factor in discussions, but the primary issue is compliance with South African telecommunications laws. Without proper licensing and adherence to regulations, any company, whether local or international, would face challenges in operating legally in South Africa.

In summary, the real issue is regulatory compliance, not BEE or the ANC's involvement.

@technotambo2

Starlink is the best internet i have ever used in Zambia, but crooks have taken the idea and are charging extra for the service that is supposed to be cheap, the subscription price is on their website but crooks are charging more than double

@llda

African leaders always want a cut in the deal thus the frequent delays or stalling. Indeed Starlink will be a game changer since once on ground

@kokanjokatulu8329

Its expensive to get a stwrlink kit in Zambia

@BRI_Bridges

Oh no 😢😢😢, I see nothing positive about this. They will do many things to Africa in future if you didn't do what they want :
1, sanctions
2, turn off your GPS signals
3, spy on you

@orionstretch

Most fo the local internet providers are crap. They provide poor services yet very costly, and record huge profits each year.

@HoTrEtArDeDcHiXx

Starlink hair optional 💇‍♀️

@tirandaz7612

Put them out of business. They are all incompetent anyhow.
