As a PhD. candidate in Physics, this is complete nonsense. The energy produced radio frequency is too weak to power a car. Even if you placed this car next to the the powerful radio transmitter like the HAARP, it still won't move. You’ll need a radio transmitter station the size of a city like New York to power just one car.
He's not the first person to try this. Nikola Telsa experimented with wireless energy, but these experiments failed because it wasn't technical and financially feasible.
This is nothing more than pseudoscience. If this technology exists, it would disobey everything that we know about physics and reality itself.

This is a hoax, scam, fraud. The question is if Mr Emerson knows that he is committing fraud or if he is initiating the scam? That is the only question that will be answered. When you invented good products, make prototypes and show the world of its common basic functionality whilst you keep your invention secrets.
Get a good media team and presentation team with the right environment to showcase your invention. Don't just sound convincing. Make the world known that the invention actually works.
Don't just grant an interview anyhow.
Have a team and organise a good press conference at an interval.
Also, invite other professionals and investors in the same industry to a showroom or so.
If the invention is legit, then the gentleman will be in the spotlight.
