I do actually have some requests, though my husband doesn't remember the names of some of the dishes. There is something he remembers his mom making, it was basically just chicken in a soup. If you know anything like that?
This reminds me of a sort of soup that I have had at a Mexican restaurant in the US. They even have chick peas in theirs as well. It is interesting how much Arabic food influences there are in Mexican cuisine. Al pastor for example is made the same way as shawarma is, though it is made with pork. 😳
