Who is your favorite Egyptian Pharaoh? Mine is Hatshepsut. She was revolutionary.
We Egyptians had high respect for woman. Even when all the over nations around us were treating them like trash.
We were the first to give them equal rights, as well as the right to divorce and to refuse to marry. We also invented makeup the one thing woman can't live without.
It might seem like we didn't value woman because we didn't want woman as Pharaohs, this is because the position of Pharaoh is linked to the gods and we didn't want them to throw a fit. We are fine with woman being queens though, but the Title of Pharaoh is scared, similar to why we intermarried.
Wow! I normally don't comment on videos, but this was great. Very informational and engaging. Can't wait to show my students. Thank you!
