I stayed in a city called Qena in a hotel called Basma, and it was directly on the Nile, it was nice. Can get pretty hot though on the 31st of December, I was sitting on the terrace watching The Nile go by and sipping a sugar cane juice so good.
In Hurghada I stayed at Scandic Resort and it's pretty good 👍 beachfront.
The muesums are wonderful. But crowded.
It's better to come to Egypt between November and April, specially if you want to go to Aswan or Luxor (where you'll have to be exposed to the sun most of the time), the weather is really warm in Autumn and winter, Summer is only mild on the Northern coasts of Egypt, or if you'll go to resorts on the Red Sea.
thank you for this informitive post
I guess not a good trip to take with kids😓
What is an appropriate tip for a minor service? I might tip $5 in the US; but is $200 EGP too much? And is it better to tip in local currency or USD? Thanks!
Can anyone please recommend the best tour package or operator? I want to go for a ten day trip in early August
Great info thanks
Tut probably rolling around in his tomb looking at what’s going on in his country
I am so grateful for this review. You saved me
For the hot weather , Egypt has Mediterranean weather so you have to base your trip on that and if you want a mild weather you should go on early November or late March to early of April and for the food poisoning you need to make a big budget because you will need to eat in good restaurants and avoid eating in cheap or street food I did that and I had great experience
overpop unplugwif1.5 locals dont go out so crowded everything delivered thus
Cat allergies are so scarce in Egypt , the real concern is of that bacteria or virus that in case of intensive exposure to cat waste , attacks the embryo and cause , i abortion concerning moving in the city you will not be driving and there;a Uber and other solutions ,
about Taxes , the Egyptian will pay the same , about food poisoning you forgot that Egypt has population and food poisoning is not an easy matter to mention , however it's a hot region and a completely different microbiome , so some gastric disturbance may occur in some cases of course no one was sent to hospital right ? the problem is that you gave it the name poisoning and you acted accordingly , no one was sent to hospital right ? , and also at india , far East etc , and few pills will end the matter and know what ? I feel that you are paid to say this because tourist's food is all at the hotel included in package and in 5 stars hotels or even 3 stars , there's no chance for food pollution not even in fresh juices
it is very very hot because you've chosen the cheapest season it's a tropical < on the other side richer tourists come at winter and enjoy a wonderful weather , Egypt has got 4 seasons Ok ? don't forget that , conclusion :you hate Egypt probably for being a Jew or whatever reason and it shows i the title you started with return our monuments in your museums
The food was amazing.
Egypt is the worst place to travel to. Chaos, very dirty, everyone tries to scam you, and incredibly annoying people that won't leave you alone. And poor service everywhere.
racist country.
Hi. Thanks for the info. What was the name of the group tour you mentioned in the video?
is this AI
THANX! A friend said to me that the harassment from toutes almost ruined the trip.
Egyptian camel rides: $5 to get on, $50 to get off. The corruption is rampant and much worse after Mubarak. Make sure your tour group has a tourism police officer with you. They are life savers – literally. Armed with submachineguns and fearless.
I want to go to Egypt and Dubai
there is no way i'm traveling to this shiiit hole. if you book a trip for 7 days max you're gonna be sick from either the toxic air itself or get food poisoning for at least 3 days, the fuk is that about? there's a reason why national geographic and other documentary companies feature episodes of Egypt, so that we can enjoy the history of it etc without going through this madness. The only people willing to visit such places are people who's country's are already in turmoil such as this because they're unfortunately used to it … Egypt defies the logic of what a vacation is supposed to be, it's the opposite of a vacation. it's so sad to say all this because Egypt had such potential of being a top destination, but it's ruined. If you enjoy places like Egypt then perhaps you enjoy a life of turmoil, chaos, and struggle, whether you go to Egypt or any other similar places in complete turmoil . I think i'll just watch my Egyptian discovery channel / BBC documentaries from home thank you very much . Sorry Pharaoh Tutankhamen, i wanted to give you a hug, but i'll send you a text from my couch instead …
I'd rather hear about and see the monuments and the river shoreline than get the negatives and banalities of the trip.
Also nothing here about the art and museums.
The best part of my visit to Egypt was the ride from the airport around 9 PM on a Monday night, through downtown, then around Tahrir Square, and out to the hotel by the pyramids. It was beyond nuts. There are NO rules on their roads. Every driver is playing a real life game of Grand Theft Auto. Honking like crazy, weaving all over the place, squeezing between each other. Better than any roller coaster I've ever been on. Madness!
Great video thank you for insight
This tipping culture sounds very American 😂
you made egypt sound excruciatingly dull
Honestly, this is why people don't like Americans.
If you want to travel abroad, suck it up and accept the local culture.
Do you expect everyone to stop smoking and reducing traffic just for you?
You're trashing one of the best countries i've ever visited.
I hate traveling itself but my parents chosing IT… so i looking for this i never been There since 2010
For my knowledge, you pay for your trip in advance and the price should include the taxes, I mean you don't have to pay the tax separately after your arrival, besides, the VAT tax in Egypt is 14% not 26%. Regarding the entrance fees, they range from $6 to $10 which is not a big deal in my opinion. The best time to visit Egypt is from September to March, since the summer is unbearable, heat, humidity and dust since 90% of Egypt is desert.
