  1. Point of correction Sir, the State High and Federal High Court have equal jurisdiction on matters of fundamental rights. The State High Court in Kogi has jurisdiction over the fundamental rights of Yahaya Bello. But, I am rather embarrassed that courts are churning out orders anyhow in this country. It’s so shameful.

  2. Isn’t shameful what judiciary has done to the rule of law in this 24 years of experimental democracy – high court orders in Abuja and another high issuing a counter orders in Kogi.
The innocent can be afraid of the law.

  3. Earlier on I made a comment in another platform where I pointed out that the security agencies in the country go about the arrest the citizen in a manner that can be dangerous not only to the citizens that gather around to watch what is going but the neighborhood at large. Why must more than a dozen security agencies appear in the residence of a suspect that is to be served a warrant? The media is not needed to enforce an arrest regardless of who the individual is. The Security agencies should ensure that there should be no presence of a crowd while making arrest in any neighborhood. An arrest is not considered a guilt for the suspect, therefore all respect and dignity must be enforced when an arrest is being made. The courts and the judges in the country must go back to the drawing board to address this issue of conflicting court orders all over the country because it does not help the judicial system but ridicules it. Courts should not take up cases that are not under their jurisdiction to speed the process.
