Would make a good politician, which is why I can't stand him.He show's his true self when he's under pressure, now slither back to Japan, snake.
You build depth by doing things out of Rassie's playbook, identify talent, get them aligned then finally give them game time!!
when he says 'how are you?', we know what he really wants to say….
Love him or loathe him, EJ is box office to listen to.
Excellent job Jim!
What does it mean to "tap a player on the back and say that's it"?
Mate what a belter of an interview. Full credit Jim
Was Eddie ever filtered? 😂
I think this helped Eddie Jones . he is a smart guy
This is an outstanding interview. I have learned so much both from Eddie and Jim.
I genuinely think for England, they should develop a new method/rule for allowing their top players who play in France to still be picked for England. For example, if you have at least 10 caps for England already, played a minimum of 5 years in the Premiership, then you are allowed to go overseas and still get picked to play for England. There are ways the RFU can make special exceptions for outstanding players while still keeping good players in the Premiership. They are just refusing to think outside the box.
Think Eddie Jones brought that spark to the Springbok Team for the 2007 World Cup Win. Definitely agree with him about Fourie Du Preez been the best rugby player ever. From SA 🇿🇦
Nice one Jim an excellent interview – you ever thought of taking up political interviews. 😊
I´d like to see you to have been a little bit harder with him, more nerve. You got him to open up, no light task but the taste was just slightly vanilla.
Great interview!
Excellent interview, cheers from Argentina
49:43 standard RA/ARU! They've been screwing Rugby in this country since it went pro.
Interesting that Eddie said one player can change the whole nuance of the team…I was listening to a old Clive Woodward interview and he said exactly the same thing about Jason Robinson…he said Jason Robinson was the catalyst for that side not just his talent but the way he conducted himself his professionalism
20:28 exactly, strength vs strength. Super12 was the best club level comp there ever was. Even as our saffa sides struggled a bit, it is the competition that ultimately woke the (real) sleeping giant. It spurned the generation of exciting South African players at all levels we see today. It forced our unions at all levels to move forward in a way which placed winning at the top. The priority was right. The rest came after.
Great interview with a great coach, like his honesty.
What the fans want. Me as a stormers / WP fan, what I want is a proper currie cup. I'd pull us out the urc if I could. Proper domestic league and set up with promotion relegation like the French have it. I'd also have a draft system from varsity to bring more players in. I know funds are the issue, not the quantity of players. From this currie cup, the top few could qualify for a champions cup style super rugby or just the champions cup. The games in sa with the biggest crowds are the derbies. I want to see the league thrive like it used to. I want to see pumas, griquas, cheetahs, boland, griffons etc get proper opportunity
International rugby, my only request is that we see more lower teams testing themselves against tier 1 sides. It's the only way those nations can grow. And no we don't want to see a world cup every year that is a terrible idea Jim haha.
And we want commentators who know what they're looking at during a scrum and giving it the love it deserves.
Jim thinking 'Steve who?', we know why he has the earphones on. 5 min later he was quoting Steve who as one of the greats of the game.
Eddie Jones is like the Donald Trump of Rugby. Great Coach 💪🇿🇦 making rugby great again
loved it! great interview. wish there was more time
