EASY LAMB STEW | LAMB STEW RECIPE | STEW

How to make the easiest yet delicious lamb stew for the family. This stew is my own creation based on spices and herbs that I like, meaning I developed the recipe myself! So for those who are wondering it’s neither Asian nor European, it may have ingredients from Asia and Europe but it has got nothing to do with those areas..

  1. I'm just a bloke who can't cook much, sometimes things work and sometimes they don't – but I tried this tonight and it worked perfectly!! Can't wait to do it again.

  2. Tried this today and it came out so so good, I used chopped tomatoes instead of peeled, also used boneless lamb leg that took a while to cook but came out great.

  3. Made this once already and got told this is the best thing I've ever made lol. So here we go again making this amazing dish. Cheers.

  4. very nice cooking…hope adding green parsleys or spring onions and some corns should give the best color for eyes to capture…ta!! watching from Papua New Guinea

  5. So, I decided to make this Sunday, but I made a few minor modifications as I wanted to finish this in the slow cooker.

First I chopped up my potatoes and onions and put them in the slow cooker. Then I browned the meat in the pan with some salt and pepper and transferred it into the slow cooker once done. Next I did the garlic and onions in the pan with some oil and the seasonings the same as in the video, BUT I also added some ground cinnamon and nutmeg in equal quantities to the ground clove. I also used canned fire roasted tomatoes as well as the tomato paste. Instead of water and chicken powder, I used some chicken stock I made from the bones of some roast chicken I had made for dinner and kept frozen. Once all the seasonings and liquids were in and the pan was deglazed of all the tasty stuff that got stuck to the bottom and the sauce was hot, I went ahead and added it to the slow cooker and set it on high for about four hours until the meat was nice and tender. That's when I took the broth and ladled bunch out into a small pot, skimmed any excess oil and made a simple flour and water roux to thicken the sauce and adjusted the seasonings and salt to my liking and poured it back into the slow cooker. I also added peas to this as they go very well with the more Mediterranean flavors. You could probably use green beans too.

In the end it's a great recipe that's very flexible and easily adapted to the slow cooker. Everyone loved it and I will definitely make this again.

  6. Interesting. I was looking for a more traditional Irish Stew I could make in the slow cooker, but the ingredients in this look really intriguing. I may have to try this out sometime.

  7. I wanted to make a lamb stew for the Feast of Sukkot and your video was the first one to pop up. I watched it and decided to try it.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Like someone previously said, it was tender and the seasons were just right. Although I seasoned the lamb with salt and pepper before putting in the pot.
This is a keeper in my recipe box.
