While I do agree that arguing about who stole what from where isn't productive, I do think the discussion of how the various religions and newer spiritual teachings copied African spirituality is necessary, because they didnt just copy it, they bastardized it. They twisted the teachings to serve their own agenda. Christianity, for example, especially fundamentalist Christianity, puts you in bondage. Its been years since I started learning the truth and I'm still breaking free from those chains. I think knowing and understanding the truth is a big part of doing the work to become Heru.
