DRC death penalty: Government reinstates capital punishment


Human rights groups have criticised the Democratic Republic of Congo for reinstating the death penalty.

The government says it wants to deter people from working with the M23, an armed group operating in the East.

Al Jazeera’s Victoria Gatenby reports.
