DR Congo squad protest for peace in their country before their Afcon semi-final


The DR Congo players raised awareness of the crisis in their country before their Afcon semi-final match against Ivory Coast by making the fingers of one hand into a gun and holding it to their heads while covering their mouths with their other hand during the national anthems.

  1. I'm a South African and I stand with Congolese people, there's enough conflicts in Africa for Africans to worry about conflicts outside Africa. We'll done to the players for reminding the world about forgotten suffering. Congo is bleeding but the world turns a blind eye

  2. I m srry but as a banyamulenge born in eastern Congo without a passport and sold out for adoption thanks to that. Perhaps one should first check what happened with that minority for over 50 years to understand why they are taking arms……Unfortunately that’s not news worthy i guess….
