  1. 99% of bringing my wife from back home marriage do not have foundation.
Because I do not understand the sheer stupidity of "tie her down" ? At a time the aim of the game is to build generational wealth.

  2. House of Kaffyyyyy! Where your cashapp sister! Preacchhhhhhhh. Most women or we women are scared to ask those questions because we want to keep the man or fear loosing him and miss that marriage or engagement. Respect sister

  3. Rightttttt Dom Lentch. Parents don't understand the times we live in. Just as i hate hearing my mom say "man na man" or its a woman who makes her man. BS! If i were to follow my mom's words I'll be doomed by now.

  4. Very true, I know a few men they brought their wives to Europe and they produced babies, then after some years they send the wives back to Africa and the men stays with the kids taking advantage of the child support money and they don't take good care of the kids

  5. Relationships are complex and made even more when the couples are living in a different country, with different values and without much support systems. I have seen different situations where the women have good careers but still felt trapped (to the extent of seeking extra marital affairs) because of other unmet needs in their relationships. Unmet needs whether valid and realistic or seemingly illogical can cause people to feel trapped. Whether you are a man or woman, if you are in a relationship because of economic or other reasons outside of love, (that you may not even realise), you are setting up yourself for dissatisfaction because you may not get exactly what you wanted. Even more so when both couples don't talk about and acknowledge what the other truly wants at that point in their life. Sad truth is that many people who get married to a woman and bring her abroad, have inadvertently motivated her economically into signing up to the marriage in the first place. Hence why such relationships are froth with numerous additional challenges that can show up much later. We do need counselling and support systems to help migrant families (or expats😉) adjust to marital life and the economic, social and cultural challenges it can throw up.

  6. Phrankleen Merry Christmas in advance to you and your family. I pray you have a fabulous one, thank you for all you do for our community, teaching m, advising and cheering us up. Remain blessed.

  7. The story of my life. I was a baby factory o, or so my ex-husband thought. By the time I realized, I have already pushed out 4 children. With no work, and nothing that I was doing to bring in income, I chop my eye. Before I came to the U.S, he convinced me to fash school in Nigeria, that there are better schools in America. With the gazillion children, the abuse on all level imaginable, I was hopeless. I finally decided to tough it up and go to school. Thank God I did. After some years, I was able to save myself from husband family and husband abuse. Ladies, have something doing before you hoop on a plane to come and meet your man. It helps a lot especially if your man is a control freak.

  8. Most men who live abroad bring women for this purpose, sometimes they are even unconscious about their intention. And most of them do it because they are in their forties cos they have hustle for so long and it took them a long time to finally get their documents.

  9. Obviously, the man is bringing home the bacon if there is no bacon the women will restrategise and get work, make her income and forget the man.

  10. I have aunts who have 3 to 4 kids and they are still working – I guess women in my family are superwomen and no man can try to keep them locked doing nothing. They are too strong mentally for this.

  11. I’m currently doing my Msc in nursing, I met a Nigerian guy who’s an engineer to tried his hardest to persuade me not to further my studies, he said I can get a normal job with my degree which I don’t want. I want a good job because my mom suffered to bring me here, I wanna spoil her. Then he asked me how much I’d be earning as a nurse which I don’t even know, then proceeds to ask if I can be a stay at home wife, then proceeds to pester me to come cook for him, when I have clinicals, exams and assignments and even barely know him. I ghosted him. Enemy of progress that my moms prays against everyday, he’s the one. I was appalled by his thinking, when couple in modern day are creating generational wealth and buying houses to pass to kids. He’s discouraging me from bettering myself, i couldn’t believe a man living in the west could think that way. But then he’s Nigerian I shouldn’t be surprised lol

  12. My brother I am sorry to say but I agree with those men tie them up yes put them down because most of the wemen has an agenda themselves so if u don't put them to sit down then some other men will get yr benefit

  13. Apart from House of Kaffy and lynell the other callers just deviated from the topic, they just came to speak big grammars, and succeeded in confusing someone..

  14. I was in the same situation when my children were small. I started babysit others working mother children along my own children to earn money for myself until my children grow up and I can go and work out. This will even give you time to spend quality time with your children as well as earn your own money. If you are in UK, go to college to do child care course. I think it's just 6 months course and when your children grow up to the age they can at least look after themselves you can now go and learn another skill.

  15. Calvary greetings from Israel. The ladies should look for support groups and try and get training to upgrade skills and when children are at school start their careers.
