  1. For a while now, I have been trying to learn about Candomblé. It's a popular religion in brazil but still quite unknown. I was finally able to get some information. They are very private and secretive about their faith so this represents my best effort. I hope to continue to learn more and hopefully this video sparks your interest in the secret world of Candomblé. if so, kindly hit that 👍 button and subscribe. Thanks

  2. Your channel just popped in feed, Great content brother…we practice Lukumi (Santeria) but grew up in a Hoodoo household…safe travels!!🎭 🌛👑🌜🎭tuned in from New Orleans,Louisiana

  3. Some of my older family members practiced Candomblé but were persecuted for being “devil worshippers”, which is nonsense. I’ve been trying to reconnect with my African and Indigenous culture and the more I find out the angrier I am that my own family condemned them and hated them

  4. Catholic have prost protestant have pops judaism have rabbin in candoble you may have shaman, lider …. not priest ! Priest is onlynin catholic religion so be speciffics

  5. It was good of Ivan to share this video, but we can see the ignorance of the Candomblehigh priest in the video. Notice how the high priest says that the "Vodou" people worship devils while Candomble serves the almighty god, even tho Candomble has elements of Vodou in it..and he even goes on to cite Ogun, and other deities that are also worshipped by Vodou followers. I wonder if his attitude stems from the fact that Brazil has become increasingly hostile to African religions in recent years. So, out of self preservation, he decides to make Vodou the boogey man. What a shame..

  6. candomble is getting his voice nowadays, due to social media etc… but still it suffers a LOT of religious prejudices and Racial discrimination as well…. so as candomble is a diaspora of the iorubá religion originally from Nigeria… the "white" civilization from Brazil stereotyped it and associated it with demons and devils etc… unfortunately in Brazil this dark chapter is still going on but it has improved a lot! I am also member of candomble in Recife. May Iemonja bless you all! ODOYAAAA!

  7. great video, but the jesus part i don´t understand.
Jesus is not part of the african culture so why worshipping him and Jesus is just a fraud.

I am from Italia and i think my antcestors the Romans did the right thing to kill Jesus for making fraude and telling people he is de son of God.

We are all son or daughters of GOd JEsus is not special he was a normal human just like you and me

  8. Ivain you did a phenomenal job cinematiclly capturing and interviewing the high priest and married couple about the religion. Very interesting and educational! You asked some pertinent questions. Superb eclectic content!

  9. This "religion" predates christianity by thousands of years and is practiced in Brazil in its more authentic form then in the place of its origin, Nigeria. Unfortunately, present day Nigerians (Yoruba) have been severely scarred by european colonialism and are in fact ashamed of being associated with the practices and spiritual gifts "Candomble", and what is known in latin america as Santeria has to offer. The sooner we get back to our roots the sooner we can experience liberation.
