Deported in Handcuffs: Nigerians in Turkey Expose Deportation Corruption and Government Neglect

Nigerians living in Turkey express outrage over being deported despite having valid documents. They share stories of arrest, suffering in deportation camps, lack of care, and corruption. Unlike ambassadors from other African nations, they claim the Nigerian government has shown no concern for their plight.

In as much as our embassies are doing poorly, most Nigerians abroad commit serious crimes. B4 nw, uae treated Nigerians with respect until Nigerians began to do cultism, arm robbing, drugs, prostitution, yahoo yahoo etc

@ugochukwuakawii6245

Kenya man, this is a compensation for the illegal and ordinary rendition of Nnamdi kalu by the Kenya government.

@ChimekaErica

when a country does not have mechanisms to create jobs, does not have any social program to cushion the needs of an ever increasing population, does not have accessible and less bureaucratic credit facility for young intending entrepreneurs to pursue a sustainable future, no friendly environment rather hopelessness, results in this kind of adventure in countries Nigerians never knew existed 40 years ago when 1Naira was equivalent to 1Pound like Turkey and Libya because these nations were not destinations of Nigerians, they now resort to going to these places because of wrong administration and management of national resources that are supposed to include them in the affairs of their nation. Their citizens have information on what happens in Nigeria, the differences among the ethnic tribes and the problems that exist in Nigeria among them. If Nigerian leaders and planners have a long term planning machinery at work, what is truncating and pushing Nigerians to extremes today would not be there. Are Ibos included in The Diaspora Commission? Is the Nigerian Government trying to shy away from their Consular responsibilities by inventing Nigerians in Diaspora? This needs to be looked into because what I heard in Brazil from Abike Dabere's mouth in Brazil about Ibos is condemnable. The USA, Canada, European Nations and other wealthy nations will never accept maltreatment of their citizens in situations faced by Nigerians in Turkey and Libya and other nations like South Africa as well. Some Nigerian leaders due to lack of vision and shallow minded self- centeredness harnessed by the need to protect selective caucus they serve their needs even speak in such ways that demean the overall protection of all Nigerians who carry their Nigerian passports on which the second or so expresses the request of The President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria to the host country to render assistance to the bearer of the Nigerian Passport to which he or she may stand in need of. This request has been violated hundreds of thousands of times and even these Nigerians have the right to demand the restoration of their rights as violated or the payment of the corresponding financial value of the damages psychological and material they have incurred during the period they were denied such assistances. Nigerian Constitution is favouring a segment while exposing the other segments to more marginalization and exploits in highly antagonistic situations. BreketeFamily thank you so much for your tv programs. Very reassuring.

You need to see what is happening at Nigerian embassy Abu Dhabi in uae, their corruption is worst, even to renew your passport you will pay extra 200aed equivalent to 100thousand naira cash to them direct, still they will tell you no passport booklet but when you pay through their agents usually more money then there will be booklet and even to collect the passport they will ask for another 100aed

@fatimaadam9389

Pls just closed the office, and look for solution, bcos there is still other nigerian who are still dying in diaspora.

@promiseHamson

Sir, The Turkey problem is a small problem, Here in Libya your people are dying in deportation camp like mosquitoes, while the Embassy is caring girls up and down, using the money many of the Nigerians pay for their passport which they have not received, I am a Liberian. Please take action many of your people are dying seriously.

@dylanamos1047

What is tinubu doing about this?

@nicholeritajohn8168

😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

@nicholeritajohn8168

Wlhi I’m very upset with this 😡😡😡😡

@michaelolutunde7699

Ordinary president, you are very correct, you have said it exactly what is happening all over, Nigerian embassy never value their citizens in foreign land. And as you said, it is Nigerians that they treated like animals and if you ask why, they will tell you that it is because you are Nigerian. I have travelled by road to many African countries it is all the same.

@Artimas407

All the Nigerian embassy abroad employ foreigners

@newyorkberlin6249

He can’t speak Turkish + why are y’all acting like idiots? Under whose authority do you interrogate deportees? So stupid, especially the laughing ratchet women!

@argeenpoyser9927

Even in the US the people you speak to in the embassy will be none nigerian.

@tinam7718

He is saying the truth. I paid 600 Euro 20 years ago , 2004 for Nigeria passport at the Nigeria embassy in Vienna Austria . They increase the price just to make illegal profit. They don’t care about their citizens so unfortunate

@nwoyejude2621

This is the same thing happening in Libya 😭😭😭😭

@lawrencia-r2e

Your government knows what is happening.God will judge them one by one

@adesalmonmy6991

The man in pinks Tshirt's story is quite sad. How can you treat him so horribly after 13 years of building your life in the country. This is not right.

@lekanaladealade4652

The Nigerian embassy is not helping at all in other countries, some of the ambassadors Nigeria appointed to represent when they get there, under 7-10 month they wants to acquire properties, they even over charged people as to make quick money, they only go there to make money they don't really care about the people in diaspora, I think when they are being appointed if they messed up Nigeria government should repatriate them and put they in jail I think that will be better because they are getting away with there atrocities committed too much.

@samuelinnocentn.6349

Nigeria issue is beyond comprehension 🥹🥹

@osagiegodsent2337

God punish you go and fix your country

Even in Vienna Austria, Nigerian Embassy is an Indian person is in charge of passport.

@k-dwanks2481

I think the problem is the tribalism going on ,
They know the ethnic group that love traveling, so they do all they can to faustrate them

Notwithstanding marrying the country national you're in , we do you Justice

@princeaka3879
