In Linden – a small Johannesburg suburb – Clement Tebruggo has become a familiar figure. He often spends his days queuing at a nearby church for a plate of food. Linden is one of the few…

With the ANC one can expect this kind of situation. People pay taxes to the goverment and municipalities who are run by corrupt officials. Money is misused or siphoned off into corrupt pockets.
we live in a divided nation, we don't like poverty on our doorsteps, we never did, we're still segregated.
The world is over populated
Job creation is the only way to curb homelessness, even if it means providing jobs in the informal sector. Jhb has many slum areas where homeless individuals can provide a service. But…the city will also have to provide low cost housing to shelter those that earn minimal wage.
Moved away from the park… That area is attracting all sorts of weird characters…Those people are seeing up a small township near that dump. And there's definitely a tinge of racism in the air about the matter…
Is this Mandela's dream.. sad seeing natives living conditions worsening.. since the richmans' solution isn't working out… wonder what the poormans' solution is…
Feeding schemes make it worse. Get the homeless to clean a stretch in the park for their food.
Or try work out a token system if you bring so much plastic bottles you get a token that buys you a plate of food
Now ask yourself how can a member of parliament earn 100k plus a month but we have people living on the streets our country is controlled by devils.
I hate how people can just set up squatter camps everywhere & then demand free services. Communities should take control and owners of their community assets
I was so hurt by my friend when she said ANC has nothing to do with the crime rates. It’s a personal choice to behave badly and no political party can influence it or otherwise 😭 💔
This is morally unacceptable and it's definitely unconstitutional. It's our Government's responsibility to meet the need of all its citizens. And they can and will meet our needs, soon as they stop giving hundreds of millions to NPOs/Homeless Shelters that do nothing but exploiting the poor and needy. Start investing more in the personal development of our people and we won't have to deal with this… I don't even know how to describe this
TAPZ is everywhere!!!
re elect a white government and watch the issues fade
wow, this sounds like they are talking about the UK, getting bad everywhere. sad times for humanity
bethi inqindi🤣🤣🤣
But these people sleeping on the streets, they doing on their own accord not so? they homeless and harmless some of them
The appalling destruction of South Africa continues…
30 years ago I had such high hopes for this country…
It's worldwide mate, not only SA. People must think about who they are putting into power as their lives are in their hands. We need leaders and not rulers, there is a difference
Betha inqindi sshuui Tata….😂
Don't worry everyone, the very same people who are the primary victims of poverty will continue to vote for and support pollical parties that will continue to lead them into such circumstances. South Africa will not change any time soon, let's just hope we don't cross a path of no-return like most African countries
Take the first step to solve this problem. Vote the ANC out ! When you take the white out of an egg you left with a joke and here it is ….. prepare for the Worst as it’s coming. Australia
Give black people economy freedom stop eating alone
I love Delta park. I stayed in Blairgowrie and was walking distance to Delta Park.
That property in Parkhurst is a ticking time bomb. The worst is yet to come. All sorts of people roaming freely and doing as they please. Everyone is taking advantage of the system.
Ramaphosa promise us 1 million jobs and electrical cars and nhi bill and smart cities after the elections 🤣 remeber that please
O please that woman has a high paying job she can f*** off. How are these people supposed to better their lives with no jobs it's ridiculous.
That first story is terrifying. Imagine getting shot in a local park.
Keep voting for criminals, and you'll get more criminals .
TSEK cANCer!!!!
The exact same thing with some shelters on Long Island. People don't want to abide by curfews or no alcohol/drug rules.
It's not rocket science. We see crime every day. We don't see our lives improving. We witness daily how our cities and towns are deteriorating, yet the silence from government (president and his cabinet) is deafening. There should be a war on poverty, on crime, on socio-economic decay, and if the government is actually addressing these problems, we should be hearing about it daily.
the problem is lies n broken promises from the government wolf in sheeps clothing
Orania residents saw this coming. Many more independent states will emerge.
a country adding 10 million ppl every 10 years with no real economy, just a matter of time.
Typical right wing nonsense "they dont want to better their lives".
It's funny that Thabiso can now afford a roof over his head but it's in an informal settlement.
Most of the people are not homeless they got families just that they don't want to listen to their parents they choose to live in the streets
tapz graffiti is everywhere 😂
As long as there is poverty wealth will attract crime. Lift up the poorest first.
thanks ANC
