Deadly Africa heat caused by climate change, scientists say | BBC News

A deadly heatwave in West Africa and the Sahel was “impossible” without human-induced climate change, scientists say.

Temperatures soared above 48C in Mali last month with one hospital linking hundreds of deaths to the extreme heat.

In Bamako, the capital of Mali, the Gabriel Toure Hospital said it recorded 102 deaths in the first days of…

  1. No increase in hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, wildfires, heatwaves, ice sheets melting, sea ice melting, species disappearing, or people who believe that wind and solar are "Green" energies. CO2 is good, the world has greened over three times as much over the Amazon rain forest loss since 1990. There is no "Climate Crisis".

  2. It's everywhere. Here in the Philippines the heat index can go as high as 45 degrees Celsius depending on your location in the country since March, and it is projected to get much hotter this May. Dry season before when I was in grade school, high school and college were not this hot.

  3. Chemtrails and harp climate change is a hoax it is yet another ploy for these parasites to seize power depopulate and take over lands and for themselves this is there global agenda Scotland it rains every single day chemtrails STOP FKN WITH OUR WEATHER

  4. Why you winding people up with this? Historical figures show that this is normal. Most hottest ever recorded was in USA. Climate change is s not a new thing. It's been happened for billions of years.

  5. Extreme weather events all over the world.
    Dubai flooded.
    India and Africa heatwaves.

It will be the poor and least polluters that suffer the most damage.

Rich nations, climate refugees coming right up

  6. By volume, the dry air in Earth's atmosphere is about 78.08 percent nitrogen, 20.95 percent oxygen, and 0.93 percent argon, adding up to 99.96 percent. A brew of trace gases accounts for the other approximately 0.04 percent, including the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. To think that a small increase (200 parts per million in the last hundred years) of carbon dioxide would affect the weather is absurd.

  7. Climate change has nothing to do with auto exhaust or emissions. There has been a substantial increase in seismic and volcanic activity over the last hundred years. This has increased the temperature of the land, sea, and air. The weather is most likely changing back to what it was 2,000 years ago. When the Romans were in Britain (40BC-380AD) they grew citrus fruit in the north. Look up "Roman Warm Period" and "Medieval Warm Period" online. It appears that there is a major change every 1,000 years and that is where we are today. Periodic change in the heat, light, and radiation created by the sun affects the earth both above and below and is the cause of the global warming we are experiencing.

  8. Keep denying climate change. Keep listening to your politicians. Keep thinking scientists are bought, because your first world privileged ass can't even do basic trigonometry, so understanding science is out of question 😊

  9. Here's a Better Solution to fight with Climate Change via Clean Solar Energy & Rain Water Harvesting System without Subsidy,

Benefits all 3 Sectors (Govt., Private Companies & Public) at Same Time,

Solution to Finance, Saves Farm Land Requirements, Transmission Loss, Pollution, EV Charging on the Go, Climate Change, unemployment, n many more benefits

  10. 50 years ago when I was a boy growing up I remember the ads on the TV asking for money to save the poor starving African kids because if heatwaves and drought. Some of us have memories longer than 5 minutes MSM. Go away.
