  1. Wow I'm happy for you Da'Vine. I remember when you were the only black girl in our class and were teaching kids how to double Dutch. I remember your unique voice in choir too. I am bawling joy for you. You made it. 👏👏

  2. da'vine is an incredible actor and she does deserve the oscar, BUT her character in the holdovers was so underdeveloped and didn't get enough screen time

  3. This was why we have the Oscars! Such a powerful and inspirational moment of recognition. I admire this lady career and haven’t watched The Holdover but that’s my fault that I’m correcting that today.

  4. How sad that there was no applause or acknowledgement from the audience when she said those first words of her speech… "God is so good." She even said it a second time. And still silence. People are so lost…. God bless her.
