What Wizkid is saying that just because they’re artists from Africa, there music is in a Global Category. Just like in America you have different genres of music, Jazz, R&B, Pop, Rap and etc.
Africa also have different genres of music R&B, Pop, Jazz, Rap,Dance Hall, Fuji, Highlife, and Amapiano. Why African artists are put in a box, when they can compete in other categories. He didn’t insult Afrobeat which is what Fela Kuti did. Since then the sound of Afrobeats has change and Wizkid changed it. I’m an American and being honest Wizkid Made in Lagos was an R&B album and should have been nominated by the Grammy as such, he’s tired of people boxing them in.
Wizkid, Burna Biy and Davido are good artists, but Wizkid music has evolved and longer fits in the Afrobeats category. Just like Bad Bunny, Drake, Ed Sheron and other international artists are not grouped into one category, African artists deserve to be put in the correct categories like other international artists.

Big Vicky, Davido is not reffering to them. Puff Diddy helped Burna to win the grammy by advising the ppl awarding grammies to award Burna. Wizkid did not win grammy on his own. They indirectly awarded Beyonce for the song Wiz did with her. So, what i'm saying here is, all of them are good. Davido too is brilliant with his music. Ppl should stop comparing them.
