Years ago I had a Yoruba reading and was told I was heavily connected to OYA goddess. Just recently I have been thinking about her and doing research which is when I learned that Eula represents her in this movie. I never saw this movie but I planned to soon. So for you to make this video means I must be alignment ! ❤
Barbara O., the actress who played Yellow Mary, recently transitioned. I met her once in a restaurant here in Atlanta and she had the most wonderful spirit about her. RIP.
I love love love Queen Po how you move how you educate the masses even those like myself who are OPEN AND NON JUDGMENTAL to your perspective and to the education you pour into the collective consciousness to effect change for all on their personal souls journey. You inspire me to continue to speak my truth and share what the Divine has gifted me to also share my personal soul’s journey and human perspective to elevate consciousness in my own way. Thank you Thank you Thank you ❤

I love this movie! It’s so beautiful ❤ not only does it tell some of our history and heritage. But it’s so nostalgic sonically and visually. It’s so late 80’s early 90’s cinematic gold!
So interesting, I'm Angolan, and they always throw rice on the bride and groom too!!
Love the awareness being shared about our Gullah geechee folks. My grand made sure I knew who I was. . I can’t hide it anyways the moment I speak most people shown nuff pin point it.

I saw this film when I was young and I loved it though I didn’t understand a lot of the depth of what I was watching. It felt like a homecoming to me in some way. I’m inspired to rewatch it now after your review so I can really absorb it fully! Thanks for the wonderful content!
