i feel the trauma for their families when they heard that they were lost, disappeared, drowned in the ocean, it is very painful. on the other hand, it is a hope and a risk that they take to improve their lives and perhaps the lives of their families , its a sorrow, it is very sad but sometiemes inevitable. opportunities should be created localy to avoid those tragedies.

I read an article a few weeks ago about what is happening to migrants that cross on the Mediterranean side that are intercepted by the Tunisian task force they (I believe its Italy) set up and it was heinous They are basically torturing those migrants with beatings, rapes, starvation, confinement, abandoning them in the desert, etc. it was absolutely heartbreaking to read the human rights violations being committed. I don't agree with crossing into another country illegally, but doing so doesn't warrant torturing human beings and treating them worse than stray dogs. I often wonder if migrants are lied to and manipulated into taking these journeys since it's a multi-million dollar illegal business, migrants lives don't improve when they reach Europe/England/USA as they're unable to work, they have no housing, nothing and it takes years before anything can happen. If your citizens are willing to risk death and everything that comes with crossing into another country illegally, then the leaders of those countries have failed their citizens. People willing to take these journeys need to be educated properly about the reality that awaits them if they succeed in their journeys because its definitely not what they think. About 1 or 2 years ago a boat washed up on the shores of my country with dead migrants, they were bones as they were probably drifting for years. An investigation revealed they were heading to the Canary Islands, but was unfortunate enough to get on a boat where the captain knew the engine was not functioning properly (the captain made an excuse as to why he could not go) and not long into the trip the engine failed and they eventually washed up in Tobago, that's a small Caribbean island in the Lesser Antillies.

THEY NEED TO TELL THEM LIFE IN EUROPE IS NOT ROSY, EVEN WITH ALL YOUR MASTERS DEGREE YOU WILL STILL NEED MORE SKILLS BECAUSE TECHNOLOGY AND THINGS ARE CHANGING EVERYDAY AND WITH THE AI NOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE JOBLESS EVEN GRADUATES. THE ROOT CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM IS TO STOP WARS ON AFRICAN CONTINENTS AND ALL AFRICAN POLITICIANS SHOULD STOP STEALING AFRICAN'S WEALTH FOR THEIR PUPPET IN THE WESTERN WORLD . THE NEED TO DO THEIR JOB AND DRIVE INNOVATION AND MAKE AFRICANS CONDUSIVE FOR INVESTORS TO COME IN

These young men are lied to by the people smugglers and told of "greener pastures" in Europe and "you have to provide for your family from the abundant jobs in Europe" instead of staying home and developing their own country.

May the ones behind realise this is not worth it as a person who lives in uk I can say it’s not a bed of roses at all things are hard stay in your home study, work, learn skills and crafts, train your youth and make it in to a better country it will be better beneficial for the future generations 💕💕

The developed world has historically siphoned resources and talent from these countries. It should be their responsibility for reparations to fix the inequality. Because without that exploitation the developed world wouldn't be where it is today.

No food but producing 10-12 children per african woman. Its not a problem of corruption and political situations. It's the issue of population exploration which all are avoided to discuss.
