I heard somebody one time make a distinction between the "music business" and the "music industry". When you are in the "music business", it is simply the process of making money from your music. The "music industry", thought, is literally the machine that most artists get seduced into for quick money in exchange for their freedom. You can make money in the music BUSINESS if you have a good product, a marketing system to get the music out there, and insane work ethic. I do not believe you can make it in the music INDUSTRY, while at the same time maintain morals and anything close to Christian ethics. The music industry is a closed party that you must first trade your phone for a bottle of KY and do a line of coke to show you are down to even get in. It is best to do it all yourself and keep it all yourself no matter how long it takes. Do not get tempted by the promises of fast money.
I worked in the UK music industry after a friend invited me to a video shoot one time. He wanted to train me into being a Film Director of music videos. I really enjoyed it, I loved working on set, trained on the camera, met some amazing people along the way and really glad I accepted the invite. However I was completely baffled to learn it was the artist who had to rent out the cars for a couple of hours, rent out outfits, pay for a studio etc. A lot of rappers I met who claimed they make money in songs never even had enough to pay for a video. The rappers are insane, have mental health issues and are deeply traumatized in a life of drugs & violence. The music industry is a very fake industry & i'm glad I never stayed long term. It's a demonic and deceptive industry.
Never stop your own music, and don't compare success versus millionaire criminal organizations fronting as music. Its slow for independents doing their own but it will pick up. Thanks Busy Works Beats! 😃

This is why artists are now charging $500-1500 for a ticket to a concert. Those tickets are being bought by the cartel and given away to ensure that the stadium gets filled. The cartel need that money washed. There is no way these artists are now making 500 million from A tour. Dirty money.
