True Love is Altruistic. It has no restrictions. It evolves in succession. Dangerous and Love Together, What a combination ! One to get your adrenaline going and your emotions aligned. These impressions are built on perceptions. Let's be succinct ! This reference/ description made of love can also be interchangeable and so it was, in this engrossing/ riveting movie. Do not underestimate anything with the word, " Love " in it or being part of it . Love always exceeds all expectations, especially one that seems controversal during its infancy.
In this particular setting, three profoundly, outstanding characters /actors were involved. One would label/ describe it as a Triangular Skirmish ! Two brothers in an entanglement with a fair damsel. A seductive and beautiful one at that ! Now, you can see why, there was a scuffle to win the affection of this immaculate young lady. Brothers, Ikenna and Chimabobi were separated early, during their childhood, because of parental neglect/ derelict. They struggled as orphans and lost contact due to their plight. Chimabobi was adopted by a rich family and Ikenna by a poor one. He had to do manual labour in order to survive. Ikenna, being the older brother agonized with guilt most of his adult life, blaming himself for the supposedly death of his younger brother. (It was indelible on his mind .) It was during this time, that he unavoidably met and fell in love with Nma. The beautiful damsel mentioned above. He later left for the city to pursue better opportunity ( ies) as basis for a productive and meaningful life. One, that would restore some semblance to the loss , he daily contemplates was his fault. " When the cat's away, the mouse will play !" This was what happened when Ikenna left for the city .His unknown, lost brother met and fell " head over heels " in love with Nma.( His sweetheart) It was however limpid, then , that the love Chimabobi had for Nma was not correlated / mutual. Even so , this relationship was encouraged by Nma's father for monetary feat. Nma was not blameless, she was an enabler. One would presume, she did it for security purposes/ peradventure. Ikenna had ignored her after he left for the city. Communication between them had declined. I would blame it on Ikenna. He abandoned her during his absence. An abandonment of which, she was afraid would happen, once he travels to the city and it did.
The conflict started when Ikenna returned to the village to discover, that Nma was pursued romantically by Chimabobi. It was then , " A Tug of War " ensued between the two men, ( later discovered to be brothers) over the woman, they both claimed to love. The choice was easy , when Ikenna returned, Nma chose him. The love of her life .This angered Chimabobi to the point ,where he hired assailants to get rid of Ikenna. They almost succeeded. Their final attempt failed, because of Nma's instinctive spontaneity ,after she recognized, that,he was the one fatally shot and lying prostrated in the street . She was also responsible for making the connection/s in relation to finding out, that Ikenna and Chimabobi are brothers. Chimabobi, the brother, whose picture, Ikenna kept all these years. What bothered me, most of all was the fact that Chimabobi attempted to kill another human being ( twice ) without any form of remorse and or consequences for his actions. Come on, this was a crime . He was only regrettable, when he found out ,it was his brother he tried to kill . However, Brotherly love prevailed !
Thank God, Nma saved the day ! Her chivalry brought about Jubilation, Revelation, Identification , Supplication ,Unification and Forgiveness of all parties involved. The brothers were so relieved and grateful for seeing/ or uniting with each other again, that each suggested ,the other should marry Nma. We all knew who would win in that category. Chimabobi conceded and planned to finance the nuptials between his brother ,Ikenna and Nma, and so they lived" Happily Ever After ! "
What an ending ! The couple of my choice ended up together in a plausible, loving and amicable way.
There's no denying love. It's unending, unremitting and perpetual (and) So was this !
