Dakar is in Senegal, Africa. The original Paris to Dakar race was discontinued some years ago for security reasons. Too much lawless elements made it dangerous for participants and officials.
If I'm not mistaken it doesn't happen on the African continent anymore because participants would go full throttle through villages and many citizens ended up dead just by standing near their homes
I'll give my first dislike to one of my favorite channels, bc they don't know geography and history well. It's called the Persian Gulf, not arabian gulf.
One of my family’s best friends is one of the few that have done more 30+ Dakar edition. He’s a beast and at 60+ years old he still does it every years. His name is Patrick Sireyjol
So , an big fan of Tatra trucks , and ex fan of Dakar , now I'm watching Africa eco race
I drive-a dakar
Basically steel ball run in a nutshell
Hod do you avoid getting taken hostage by the locals?
If it is call Dakar, it should pass by Dakar…
Never heard of it
So they make a new map every year? nice.
Be better if it actually took place in Dakar, screw the petro nations and their boring countries, oh wow Saudi Arabia is soo exciting.. oh wait
And be careful to not getting shot by the Sand People 😂
Guess what’s the inspiration for the design of modern Adventure Bikes?
E.g. Yamaha Tenere (see the naming?), KTM, Africa Twin, … legendary
What kar? Dakar, ok thanks
Oh neat, another thing to boycott because it’s built on Saudi slave labor.
Kinda sad to see Fort 9 promoting Saudi slavery.
So much racing has been turned into sports washing.
They should change the name, it doesn’t make sense anymore
Concise Perfection! 🙌
Damn, i really miss Dakar in south america, bring back Dakar to Chile 🙁
Seriously, you left out who won the Poker hand?!
😑
Bring back the Dakar to Latin America.
I always think of Charlie Boorman any time the Dakar Rally is mentioned.
The move to Saudi Arabia made it boring.

I think it's the redbull channel, has a vid on how the navigation on bike is done. Even more respect to the skills of the riders after I saw that.
That opening wheelie is a rippa! In the sand no less, that takes power…
Cartier made a neat watch for it.

Nothing like old school real Paris Dakar
Dakar is a serious crap, since it is not the original one, but Saudi bought crap. It used to be something till 2000's…
Why do you call it Rally "RAID"???
Riding through war zones sounds neat
All sport, brought to you by the Saudis
Me in the Dakar rally, using my Life Call:
"I have fallen and can't get up"
How long til they notice an error in this short and delete it?
Better get my Yamaha 500 Enduro XT out.
Would love to know more about the Baja 1000 next!
The Dakar rally can be summed up with this
Here is point A, there is point B, figure out how to get there the fastest, and try not to die. READY SET GOOO

My Father-in-law used to race in the Dakar when he lived in Kenya
Really interesting story and something sounds like I'd love to follow. And of course, at the end I get to hear that Bonesaw bought it.
Should have it shown on tv. But probably won't as it has bikes in it. Uk tv that is 😊
