DAHABIYA Egypt Nile Cruise | The Nile Cruise That Beats All Others

The big Nile cruise ships seem to be the most popular choice but the secret is something called a Dahabiya which is a sail boat that runs from Luxor to Aswan and vice versa that’s 100 times better. Watch to see a full walkthrough of the Dahabiya Loulia with Djed Egypt Travel and why this is the BEST way to do a river Nile cruise on your next…

  1. Traveling the Nile via Dahabiya is the only way I am considering for my future Nile cruise. Thank you for this video. It gave me another option for Dahabiya travel that’s even more authentic than the one that I had previously found with Nour El Nil. Your cruise looks like it was AMAZING!

  2. Really appreciated your video and the one on the 10-day trip. We have booked with Djed for their 14-day tour in early April and are really looking forward to it. Calgary-based so needing some warm weather. You should be getting a commission from Djed.

  3. Egypt is the most dangerous place for tourists in the world. Read up on the recent case of Giulio Regeni, the poor Italian university student who was abducted off the street by egypian police and ended up repeatedly tortured and homosexually raped by the local police chief, before being finally murdered and his body dumped by the same police who abducted him. The real horror is that Regeni was just one, while egyptian lawyers and activists state that at least twenty thousand young egyptians suffer a similar fate at the hands of egyptian military and police EVERY YEAR. For God's sake, do not let your young people travel to this mad, cruel, corrupt country, run by thugs and perverts. Do not go there yourself. Once the police decide to abduct you, to rob, rape or whatever, your chances of getting out alive are negligible. Read up on the Regeni case. The police lied repeatedly and refused to co-operate with international investigations. But the truth got out, in piecemeal fashion, in the end. But, the horror is in the real numbers of more than twenty thousand Egyptian Regenis who die awful deaths EVERY YEAR in this sick, and dangerous nest of perverts and thugs.

  4. Wow really seems nice…. pleasant vid to watch as well. I wandered onto this because of looking at small cruise boats on the upper Amazon. This video shows nice 'intimate' cruises are available on the Nile, as well.

  5. 1) Where do they dock overnight? 2) Are there maps at hand so you can get an idea how far along you are, and what's coming up? 3) What's the laundry situation? 4) Any tipping guidance?

  6. Thanks for the great information! I contacted Djed Egypt about booking this cruise. The thing is, when I didn't hear back from them after a few days I wrote and asked them again. I also mentioned that I'm meeting with some people at the end of the cruise and they need to know what day to expect me in Aswan. Still nothing. At the end of the week I wrote to them again and let them know that people were pressing me for the information about when to expect me in Aswan and I couldn't answer them until I knew whether or not I would be on that cruise. Finally a week and a half later they got back to me, but only with a "We'll check and let you know." Then crickets again. The cruise looks great, but not being able to finalize any of my other travel plans until I hear back from them, and having to practically beg them before they even acknowledge that they've gotten my messages is really starting to bother me.

  7. Hello Will, Wow this was an excellent video! My husband and I are planning a trip to Egypt at the end of October. Also looking at a Nile cruise so your video was great help. Your video was so visibly pleasing and your tips great. Can’t wait to check out more of your videos. You produce the best videos I have seen on YouTube. Thanks! Shawn

  8. Young man!!! As someone who has been not only around the block, but also around the block, I have to tell you that you have the natural voice for narration. In addition, the script, your transitions, your vocabulary, your imagery are superb. Second to none. Good work!!

  9. Hi Bro….can U explain to me about ticket prices for one trip traveling the traditional sailboat ( for one person )…
And from one ticket what the places of destination of this boat …
    Thanks for response

  10. Amazing video how much did this trip on the boat cost. I am thinking of booking this trip and another but wondering if i can get it all in one. But there are no prices on the site

  11. Not critiquing, just educating. I believe you meant late 19th (late 1800s) and early 20th century (early 1900s) when you referred to the “golden age of travel.” Not the 18th and 19th centuries. I address a trivial point, in light of the wonderful info you shared with us. Supposed to go June 2020 on the Orient, so rescheduling for 2021. As an archaeologist, I cannot wait to share this trip with my husband next summer. (Know it is hot then, but it was 117 degrees where we live in Phoenix today).

  12. This reminds me of the Turkish Gulet/wooden yacht sailing along the Turkish Rivera which I sailed last June. Only 10 of us +2 crews +captain. Breakfast, lunch, tea time ,dinner included, freshly cooked. Also no shoes on board. We had 3 swimming stops each day in the Mediterranean, also a few hiking up ancient Roman ruins, st Nicholas Island. I was supposed to take Egypt tour this month, but now have to wait until next year.

  13. Do you have a discount code for the cruise? I see that the asking price is 190 euro per person per night for a basic cabin. While not too bad, a small discount, even 5 percent, for your subscriber would be nice.
