Sad but I stopped caring or respecting the Oscars way back when the Color Purple lost all the nominations and fracking Out of Africa won everything. Granted Out of Africa was a good movie but to win Everything – especially up against Out of Africa. I hate to say it but the Oscars is full on garbage and 2020 was no exception to that garbage (and nothing to do with race). It rarely reflects what is actually great in movie making.
