Please can we clarify under what specific crteria is the principal considered a suspect? Especially since he was nowhere near the child at the time of the rape? Under what rationale has the mother requested that the principal be investigated as a potential suspect, other than he was doing his job as prinicipal manager of the school and its business functions thus following the full mandate of the Department of Education to protect the reputation of the school, which she has clearly misinterpreted.

This does not make sense. why would the police be told by the mother what to do, police don’t know their policies and procedures for such cases. So iis it a matter of who must be asked for DNA first before who in terms of who has been in contact with the poor child from the beginning or suspected beginning of this incident., what are the processes? if the police said a DNA test is needed from the principal, did he not want to clear himself just apart from him being asked. If the police asked for DNA from principal to rule out any of his possible or potential involvement why would he not want to provide the DNA test suspected or not, accused or not. What kind of responsibility and accountability has the principal taken since this is being said it happened in his school premises obviously by a man or men, and he is a man, why would he chose not to voluntarily have his specimen taken for DNA test. People/ Men have been and are misidentified and wrongly accused every day by victims and police and were saved by DNA test results because they felt compelled to consent to this and cooperate to prove their innocence. Is he the only one at school who has been asked for DNA test? Has other men if any from this school had the DNA test? What does the process of investigation involves? This is not convincing at all., Most of us wants and pray that the principal is not involved but how do we intendor is this expected to be ruled out if the DNA tests are not taken.

The police need to do their job, it is just very unfortunate in SA there is no sense of urgency on cases and also how police at times will sit and do nothing claiming there isn't sufficient evidence to further investigate or deem to rule out someone as suspect, hence the mother is frustrated and almost pointing at who she is suspicious of. Furthermore, if this did not take place at the school and if you care so much about the school, your reputation and are sympathetic to this case, etc. why refuse/deny DNA just to rule yourself completely out and prove your innocence and support so that the investigation may proceed, and the real perpetrator is brought to book. Very sad that the victim(Cewcewe) is now overlooked because we have too many rights and laws and the due processes are questionable at times.
