Hi can I ask is Advanced diploma in accounting science FAC accredited by SAICA
Broe just a quick one, whats your advise for someone who's starting their BCompt Accounting degree at a private university but its not SAICA accredited but they want to be a CA one day. What would be your advise to them.
Does UNISA have ITC study resources?….like old exam papers, exam focus scope, etc
Hi this is so helpful and I'm wondering if you can help me further. I didn't qualify for CTA at my uni and I'm considering doing it through UNISA instead of doing BCTA. May you please explain the process from application and which one to choose since there's level 1 and 2.
Thank you for this , i was initially here for CTA kodwa now am on forexπ video please
O strict π but I hear what youβre saying.
Deciding to back to write CTA 2 passed it a while ago but want to write IAC / ITC now. Just a question of the tests – can you write it online as well as the exams?
I have no interest in CTA at UNISA, but this video is made really well, so it drew me in. I hope you do well.π
Whats the name of the app brother.
What is your Instagram handle? That is, if you donβt mind sharing. We both have a lot of common interests, bro. I might learn a thing or two from you.
My brother, you just gained a follower. I really would love to follow you on instagram. I love the fact that you are into different different things, e.g. Accounting, forex trading. ππΏ

I was actually having a conversation with my Friend about this exact same thing. If i don't get admitted at my Uni for CTA, I'm not taking BCTA – I'm leaving to do CTA somewhere else!
I love this! I am a 3rd year BCOMPT undergrad next year – UNISA is worth it! BUT it is what YOU make of it… period. UNISA students are a different breed. We are persistent, resilient, tenacious and disciplined. We know what it takes to be our own lecturer and the student. If you are entitled, UNISA is NOT for you… you have to work hard and EARN your spot just like with other uni's. No spoonfeeding happens here. No scopes are given for tests – you have to study EVERYTHING. Most often from not one or two sources but 3, even 4… it is HARDWORK…it is the definition of ADULT learning… Yes, UNISA is not perfect, but if you push and take accountability for YOUR own studies, UNISA is perfect for you! I KNOW there are a lot of people that come to UNISA thinking it is easier because it is ODEL and the exams or tests are sub- par. You are wrong! Standards of tests MUST be on standards prescribed by SAICA for UNISA to retain its accredibility… and it is SAICA accredited … This guy is but ONE of the MANY UNISA students that passed ITC the first time …. DO NOT be discouraged because you are a UNISAN be PROUD of it… so well done sir!! I hope you will make videos until you pass your APC. It is reAlly encouraging! Thank you!
Goodluck with your results fellow UNISANS! May all of you have a blessed year next year and stay focused on your goals! God bless!
Great insight! Did you make use of private tutors/tutorials?
I'm a 3rd year Accounting student at TUKS, Thank you for the advice brother π
As a unisa accounting student ,I am inspiredβ€β€
That is very true UNISA is very affordable. I moved from TUKS to UNISA and I was discouraged by my circle. but I like it here. yoh I agree with you, discipline comes along way at UNISA.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Iβm studying accounting through Unisa, first year, soo far soo good to be honestβ¦
Thank you so much mfoka Khuzwayo for the inspiring video! It couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I've been accepted at (UNISA) to pursue a Diploma in Accounting Sciences, starting in the 2025 academic year.
However, I have some concerns that I'd love to hear your thoughts on. With the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), I'm wondering if accounting will remain a relevant field in the next decade. Will there still be a demand for accountants when AI is increasingly capable of automating tasks?
As AI continues to boom, I'm skeptical about the future of accounting. Will accountants become redundant? Or will AI augment our skills, making us more efficient and valuable professionals?
I'd love to hear your perspective on this. Should I still pursue a career in accounting, despite the rise of AI? Will the skills I develop remain relevant, or will they become obsolete?
i love the clarity this video comes with!!!
Well detailed video. I also studied through UNISA and it worked just well.
I studied my honours degree in politics through Unisa and they were a lifesaver for me due to the low fees.

The big brother, I never knew I needed. UNISA route or not, this is great advice.
Great video my guy. Really inspiring and encouraging
I'm on the same journey right now, gowever, I'm foing my SAICA accredited degree first through UNISA then I'll hopefully get to do my CTA there as well
One question – Did you do the CTA 1 and 2 course over two years, or did you just do the 1-year straight at UNISA?
I did my degree and CTA through Unisa. Managed to pass CTA cum laude on my first attempt in 2020 while in my first year of articles, and went on to pass both the ITC and APC on my first attempt. Wouldn't say Unisa has held me back at all. From what I can tell international companies looking to hire CA(SA)'s do not care which university you attended. The low cost of doing CTA at Unisa represented a huge saving for me. Their admin is shocking though… You really have to be on top of things. Don't just trust that their administrators will sort things out for you. People who worry about Unisa not preparing you adequately for the first board exam due to Unisa's historically low pass rates are simply not adjusting for the fact that a large number of the people who study through Unisa are people who have other heavy responsibilities (like working moms) and their high failure rate is likely attributable to the other responsibilities they are shouldering preventing them from dedicating enough time to studying rather than to the quality of the education they are receiving.
