  1. $600 you said is more than enough to live over there, that's means that if you have a budget of $1000 a month, single with no vices, you can live high on the hog in that place??? hopefully they have a retirement visa available to any foreigner who want's to live there, regards from Boston MA!!

  2. Hi Rachel.
I liked your budget but l was sad that you did not hint on encouraging people to put money into savings. How are these renters ever going to buy their freedom by buying those stands you promote or buy houses, flats.

  3. Rae would it be possible to have a tour of these various types of apartments 1 bed, 2 bed etc and show us the various price points… can also show us various airbnbs…you can also negotiate a commission for yourself/affiliate fee if people book these units based on your review…

  4. Thank you for the insights. These really help travelers a lot. I have always thought Uganda is much cheaper to live in. I am from Kenya, though food is expensive here but the rest are affordable compared to UG. I think it is because Kenya has invested much on real estate and technology

  5. Thanks for video Rae, really informative. I was wondering if you knew of any people that are thinking of long stays in Uganda that would be interested in sharing an apartment to share the rent cost that you can recommend. Thank you

  6. Great information Rae. I will be visiting Uganda from America in April for a month. I'm interested in how much it would cost to rent a car and what companies are trusted by Ugandans.. Also, what are some reputable places to exchange currency?

  7. No no no just go on air BnB right now there are many appartments under 50 dollars a day in good places aswell
even as low as 15 dollars a day
I am taking a full house furnished with WiFi and all that

  8. Thanks for the update on the cost of living in Uganda. I can honestly say that the African Americans traveling back to the continent has and will continue to to decrease because that surge of all the ones that was coming right after C-19 was mostly because of those PPP loans . The prices there is equal to a lot of places in the states now

  9. Rent prices have really gone high. I used to rent a house with my friend in 2007 and it was a full house. We each had our own bedrooms, and we used to pay 100,000 UGD each per month, making it 200.000UGS. we paid for water and electricity too, but our bills did not reach 500.000k. We lived on Mutesa II road in Ntinda just above Semawata road. Now I bet you that whole house goes for 10 times more than that per month.
