COOKING ALGERIA: Mahjouba (Algerian Crêpes) 🇩🇿

Mahjouba, Algerian Crêpes is a dish that is easy to make, doesn’t take a lot of time. This recipe was 100% vegetarian…bonus. Algerian cuisine has some hallmark dishes, and this recipe is a standout. I’m gonna make this all the time.

This is Anti-Chef Cooks the World. A series where I cook foods from every single country in the world…all…

  1. this was great. i really hope you continue this series again. i love your other seriesesss but this one is so interesting. especially would like to see you do these in the new kitchen and stuff too. 🙂

  2. A few years ago, I went to my local French cafe and they had these for a lunch special, but the filling was mushrooms and bechamel. I’ve thought about that lunch special a lot and finally decided to give these a crack. I messed up the pastry, too many folds meant that parts were raw. And the sides were raw because I made it too high. also, I ate most of them hot when really they were much better at room temp. I will soldier on and make these again. I can confirm that flavour and texture of the pastry was exactly like the one from the cafe so I’m on the right track. Thanks for the recipe

  3. i remember sitting in my grandmother's kitchen being amazed by how a small little ball of dough could stretch out to be so large and thin. i wasn't fond of the spicy oniony filling but i absolutely loved the sweater version where sprinkle sugar between the delicate thin layers💕
