  1. This, however, it looks delicious. I would eat it. So again, if it is smelling like fish. My mother is not too keen on preparing it. I really do not know how to cook fish because over here we have fish fillets. They are already cut and prepared in such a way that it’s just a thing strip of fish meat sometimes salmon sometimes some type of whitefish.

  2. In West Bengal, where my father is from. And the neighboring state of Orissa, we called this.Dal fry. The first word is for the type of lentils. Some people add fish some people do not my mother never has had it with fish. But she is indeed very finicky about what sort of fish she eats. I am also like that. We do not have a good history with eating full fish in food. When we were small children, we would often be forced to eat some thing like mackerel, that is very oily and is too overwhelming on our senses.
