Alastair Leithead takes an epic journey from the Atlantic Ocean to the far reaches of the Congo river to explore how history has shaped the Congo of today and uncover the lesser told stories of this beautiful, if troubled country.

  1. Lord have mercy on the leaders so greedy and corrupt. All the God give blessings in resources and yet they are to stupid to take advantage and better the lives of their citizens.

  2. 36:00
All these violents and conflicts are not from their DNA, It seeded by the Colony by Belgiens & etc,
Centures before they were living in peace!
Why the fk they went there?

  3. I love Africa, our old generation and coconut came from Africa to Sri Lanka.
Long live my brothers and sisters, my Deep love from my heart.
Shape your countries and make the Africa the best in the world!

  4. Without coloured people there is no west or other nations.
They robbed us and destroyed our world. And now they are walking on the stree proudly.
But they never know who still has the power!
Even a White lady love coloured men's xx, Go figure it out!

  5. This is what you guys always show the world, stop showing bad things about Africa and tell the world the truth of Africa. How great and beautiful Africa is
You western-world always say Africa is poor but Africa is the place you western-world get your money from, if is not Africa like your country’s is bad and poor

  6. Well organized? Yeah, the lack thereof, corruption, drugs, alcohol and a total disregard for creating way to many little humans due to what seems is anything but control over their crotches. Pretty much the same thing in most US cities.

  7. The UN is corrupt, and the UN and Western world are not making anything better, but the exploitation is still going on ,killing of citizens of Congo all because of their natural resources,

  8. You say that the government doesn't have control over these places, but that's a lie. You created these problems as soon as you created apartheid and moved people out to shanty towns.

  9. THERE IS NO EBOLA OR POOR CONGO. EUROPEANS HAVE PLUNDERED ITS NATURAL RESOURCES FOR CENTURIES. TELL THEM TO GET OUT. EBOLA WAS A VIRUS CREATED SO THAT THEY COULD TAKE YOUR GOLD AND OTHER IMPORTANT MINERALS WHERE THE GORILLAS HOMES USE TO BE. THEY ARE DESTROYING YOUR JUNGLES AND ELMINATING YOUR PEOPLE LEFT AND RIGHT SO THAT THEY (U.S., BRITAIN, BELGIUM AND OTHERS) CAN TAKE OVER THAT LAND AND YOUR RESOURCES.

  10. DRC must make sure and convince SA and the SADC century to invest in mining and benefit from the congo's gold, copper etc no more with the western country that send rebels through Rwanda to steal our resource as they are doing in Libya
