Okay, I've got THREE theories about first lady, hear me out:
1. She was some undercover spy, agent or something around that line.
2. She was maybe committing an act of infidelity in that hotel and did not want to risk being discovered on telivision.
3. it's most plausible that she had just murdered someone in her room and was done viping off all evidences and was ready to vanish from the country after enjoying a good chinese lunch.
