  1. Fear-based theology produces spiritual retards who only need Jesus to save their own skins from hell. It reinforces self-centeredness instead of the selflessness and compassion that Christ taught and demonstrated.

Genuine love can't be extorted by threats and fear. Threats and fear only produce counterfeit and unhealthy Stockholm Syndrome type "love".

Anyone here saying that Carlton Pearson was a heretic had better hope that he was right because if he wasn't you're all screwed too. If you really believe God is cruel enough to allow anybody to be tormented in hell forever and that he's also omniscient then he knows that your "love" for him is fake and birthed purely out of your selfish desire to escape the eternal torture chamber he has waiting for you if you don't "love" him back.

How you all can't even recognise the obvious obscenity and absurdity of your theology is incomprehensible.

Also, if you think you could be happy in heaven while even a single soul remained forever trapped in eternal torment, then you are entirely self-centered and don't know Christ at all because if you did you would have his compassionate heart that will always be grieving so long as even a single soul remains lost.

  2. If you don't know what's in the Bible you won't know when the lies come. Read the Bible and listen to what it says. The Bible/God's word is the ultimate rule for our Christian faith. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Yeshua the Christ from the Father.

  3. This is an interesting movie. As a Catholic, I came to the same realization, although by completely different means. Our Lady of Fatima choose the town of Fatima because of her love of Muslims. Our Lady of Guadalupe revealed herself to a native American not only as the mother of God but she said she was also who they prayed to before the arrival of Christianity. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Loving and self sacrificing. You don`t have to be Christian to (unknowingly) follow Christ and a lot of people who say they are Christian are not really very Christian.

  4. i have been and still being brought up in the church. I'm now 31 years old. been under numerous houses of worship but I have NEVER in my church life seen people get up and leave the church dead in the middle of service! dissagreement is one thing but that right there wow

  5. Mr Pearson isn't resting in peace… he's in eternal torture without end. He went against the Word of God!! And suffered the consequences of his actions.😮😮 He left a doctrine of his own, so that he may lead others to hell as well. But God has a vessel willing to stand out against the false doctrine of Pearson. 😮😮

  6. The Lord loves us all ,we are all his children ,he died on the cross for the atonement of our sins simply means thru him we are saved ,we pray we ask for forgiveness ,l feel like this movie is taking another angle ,if we go on to read further on the chapter he quoted 1st John 2 .

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

  7. Blasphemous movie and people r still accepting to agree with him even tho he taught a strange doctrine of hell that didn't exist to him. People r saying it was so good to watch, great points. You should be rebuking this movie even if u watched it rebuke his teachings

  8. Real men are still asking the very pertinent question about what to do to be saved. You too can join that foray and be saved from eternal damnation.

    QUESTION OF ALL QUESTIONS
"And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"(Acts16:30).

    6 STEPS TO SALVATION

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

“God be merciful to me a sinner.” (Luke 18:13)

    CONFESS
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9)”If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

    FORSAKE
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord…for He will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)

    BELIEVE
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be
    damned.” (Mark 16:16)

    RECEIVE
“He came unto His own, and His own received him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on His name.” (John 1:11, 12)

WHY NOT MAKE YOUR ETERNAL DECISION NOW?

Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son. And that he died on the cross of Calvary that I might be forgiven and have Eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come into my life and be my personal Lord and saviour. I repent of my sins and worship you all the days of my life! Because your word is truth. I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ! In Jesus' mighty Name. Amen.

Having said that prayer, I say a big congratulations to you and welcome you dearly to the family of God.

  9. What I don't understand is why do they never mention Carmen??? Carmen and Carlton Pearson were extremely close friends. It's so strange that Carmen is completely forgotten.

  10. This hero stood up for the poor and LGBTQs and was damned for it.

    NYT:
Following the logic of universal salvation, Bishop Pearson stopped preaching that homosexuality was a sin. “We just love people,” he told his congregation. “And we are the most radically inclusive worship experience in the city of Tulsa.”

In 2007, he and other religious leaders lobbied Congress to pass protections against hate crimes targeting gay people. “The issue of not special but equal rights for God’s same-gender-loving children is a moral imperative in every community in America,” he said across the street from the Capitol. (The measure, which Congress passed, died after a veto threat by President George W. Bush, but it was signed into law in 2009 by President Barack Obama.)

Because of Bishop Pearson’s apostasy, attendance at his church dwindled from thousands to mere hundreds, associate pastors quit, and he lost the church building in a foreclosure. Oral Roberts University, the evangelical institution in Tulsa, denied him use of its campus for his Azusa gatherings, and he resigned from the university board. When Bishop Pearson, a Republican, lost a 2002 race for mayor of Tulsa, he blamed the controversy over his theology.

  11. 1 Timothy 4:10

    New International Version

10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

  12. Rest in Love Bishop Carlton Pearson. Thank you for leaving behind a transformative legacy and in case you didn’t know before you left this place, but you changed the world. 🕊️

  13. I am not sure how this movie ends, nor am I entirely sure what the message is trying to communicate, but if it's saying what I think it's saying, that you don't need to turn from your sins and turn to Jesus, THEN THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Not my words or ideas. The entire scripture would have to be a lie for this to be true, and Jesus' death and suffering would have been for nothing. But the Bible doesn't teach that. Jesus did come, and He did die and rose again. So that those who put their faith in Him would be saved. All are welcome: the murderers, the liars, the proud, the self-righteous. All of us are welcome to the ABOUNDANETLY MERCIFUL throne of Jesus. However, you must acknowledge that you are a sinner and turn to Him for salvation. People may think this theology is unloving for God to allow people to go to hell, but here is our chance to turn to Him, forsake our own ways, and trust in Him.

  14. Doctrine through intimidation

All shall be saved is repeated more than 20 x in the Bible

The word eternal is correctly translated – the age of

Whatever extent, how old is true it’s purpose is to purify not to torture forever

Who wouldn’t glorify? Why would God make you to torture you forever?
