Why? Because within months of their beginning they stopped being News in ENGLISH. In the beginning they were international/Philippines news in ENGLISH. They stopped ENGLISH and everyone stopped watching. They lost several hundred thousand regular/all day viewers as they switched to Tagalog, probably out of laziness, like the teachers are too lazy to teach in ENGLISH. So ENGLISH proficiency in the Philippines is going by the wayside.
