  1. It is great that you put focus on the porters, or sherpas. They are doing an incredible job. Not many people could do it after them. And it is good watch a video like this with another focus. Thank you.

  2. Great video, loved your commentary and the things you shared. I climbed Kili via Rongai route a few years back . As you said, ne of the most challenging things you can do. Both physically and mentally. I loved the gang I climbed with, the porters and guides. Once COVID settles down, I will take my son there to see sunrise at the top. Last time the porters called me grandpa, not sure what I will be next time. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video.

  3. You are just so Real. Truly appreciate you and your efforts. Great to see and experience this mountain. It is amazing the feelings of accomplishment when you summit. I guess that's why we do it.

  4. How remarkable!
    How inspiring!
    How aspirational!
As one who fell in love with the mountains and the summit as a young man, I have shared both the many agonies of the climb and exhilaration of the view offered by the peak- what pure joy it was to "tag along" on your journey.
    You are an extraordinary achiever.
I wish your continued prosperity in all ways of life!

  5. My sister did this in 2019, at 51 years old. Hardest thing she ever did. Her husband did it in June of 2018. I’d love to do this…

  6. Sensational and inspiring video Alice. Appreciated the emotional experience of the hike as well. Your experienced guides were essential and exceptional. Thank you for sharing this and your many other travels.

  7. Thanks for the brilliant video – the whole range of emotions you went through are clear for all to see. The trek looks a lot harder than I expected. Well done to you all (including the amazing porters).

  8. My wife and I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro February 2015. It was our first multi-day, high altitude trek. As you experienced, it rained or sleeted every day except the last day when it snowed. The Barranco Wall was my favorite part of the trek. I've seen your stunt video and I can't believe that it "kicked your butt." I enjoyed the Serengeti Plain safari that followed too. Great video.

  9. Alice congratulations to you and the rest of the girls on your achievement, this is a really great video you have made and I enjoyed watching it so much. I am doing the same climb next year. Well done, and I loved that you reached the summit on such a poinient day. I joined you in a few tears when I saw you at the top, very emotional, well done girl ☺

  10. DEAR ALICE YOU ACTUALLY SPOKE MT.EVEREST WHILE I WAS REPEATING YOUR VIDEO WHILE WRITING MT.EVEREST.EVEREST CALLING FOR YOU DEAR HOT ALICE

  11. This was a brilliant video! Thank you! It's amazing how Africa keeps permeating everything I do. We stayed at KIBO Safari Camp last month and every so often, Mt Kilimanjaro would appear to us like the Mists of Avalon. She was so beautiful and majestic. I cannot wait to go back! XOXOX. Get home safe.

  12. Working my way through your videos. You lead an amazing life. I was especially touched by your heartfelt thanks to those who supported you on your trek to the summit. It really brought together all that you had gone through, both emotionally and physically. Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment.
