The information in this video really does add up quick.
A game that may be really mimical to reality, where you need to be lunatic to possibly make real money and make somethign great for yourself.
I also understand your comment on how convoluted managing 50+ vassals can be. I struggle to remember any of them, too, when it gets to that stage
Such a gem of a video. Many little things I didn't know of
The Jeff bezos joke made me choke on my quiche
CAS is king
My fav for going tall is capua and salarno which I use to take rome with my character by that time being a genius and Midas touched I can control all of salarno capua and Roma. All three have farm lands and Roma has great bonuses.(It increases development naturally fast so you use your Steward to change culture tiles) You are central stage in the Mediterranean so the possibilities later or right then are open for your choice. I like to start with a similar character as him I just make mine Roman for that cataphract but the ability to control tech development. Be warned that unlanding the Pope seems to make crusades rare but he'll still have loads of coin to hand out to your descendants.
This feels more like role playing Warren Buffett rather than Jeff Bezos
This game is such an unique experience, absolutely love it. The GoT mod is insane btw
I love playing tall as Sicily
Well I tryed that out. I startet in Austrian Region expanding over Hungary and Kroatia and somehow I am now the Ruler of the Great Holy Roman Empire
11/10 editing – Woulda gotten 12/10 but was not enough water.
That editin tho xD
Its a bit late after this video. But Sardinia is a great starting location. You're an island, away from most raiding, a dutchy, can swear fealty to Italy early on. It has a Mine, and after you get established now, instead of setting up kingdoms for random family members you can pop off as an adventurer and set up incredibly advanced duchies for your families all around the world. My new favorite way to play!
10/10 editing
what mod did you used for the mask in the thumbnail?
I did this with Toulouse and served the French king faithfully for hundreds of years
Will I be finally able to feel "rich like a Lannister"?
I often get into negative money, all the debuff's, cannot fund buildings or anything sometimes it gets so hard – I've watched many how to make money but most of the items to suggest are not available either due to skill or don't have the gold to get more gold lol
Pope don't like me, got to minus one with wards and sways but not enough to ask for gold
Evertime I get to like 150 gold I have to give 100 back for stress or something, I get random wars out of knowwhere against me, with forces 10x time my size
It's mental as often hit with multiple wars, disease, rebellions and debuff's all at the same time
count of broke
Pretty bad guide rush indépendant kingdom with your own diverged cultur trough the innovations and from middle middle age the increase of development goes by itself
I love playing tall, because it just feels more realistic, mostly I also dont try to become a King or a Emperor, I try to stay Loyal to a certain other Dynastie, while trying to get a few counties and maybe a grip on 1-2 duchies, to strengthen the other dynasty with my own support, makes it so much more interesting, especially when you also play off of the traits that you are given.
You also more often really connect to the characters.
In one of my last playthroughs, I was playing as the Count of Grünningen in Swabia, and I was around the late 12th century I think, when my character died and I had to play as a child, I saw that little man grow up into a glorious Knight, who managed to make a marriage alliance with his Childhood Crush, only for her to die in childbirth together with the Baby and him dying in Battle not long after at age 18, I genuinely felt down and depressed for a few minutes after that happened. 🤣💀
Bro became a Lannister
Great vid, youre a PIMP!
I've NEVER been able to make a small territory or kingdom succeed. They simply can't make enough money!
I watched this video and it completely improved the gameplay for me. I feel like any new players should watch this first, because it made the game more fun, period. Go figure, just as in real life, everything always comes down to money.
I am having a problem with the customization points. I have all the same numbers as you and for me it's 563 while yours shows 361. Is there something I'm not seeing that is helping you remove 200 points?
While trying to play tall, is it better to just build the eco upgrades in your vassals cities/temples and get fort and army upgrades in your castles? Or is it better to just do eco upgrades in the castles too?
