This African guy is no answering to any of the questions asked here! or purposely avoiding them
The west and its dogs cant afford to invest long term in africa without any profit within a year where china can anytime lose money for the good of its own people and friends. To explain what is culture of trust to the west is like pulling a cow up the tree
America needs to sanction Africa for being friends with China. Just do it, America. I dare you America.
I am afraid. Most Africans are too stupid to realize their is NEVER, EVER an equal partnership when dealing with china…CHINA is a one way street…and China occupies it all. FAYE Senegal new president may be too young and inexperience to know that.
China thinks strategically in long time frame, while the west is more towards shorter time frame and sporadic, I would suggest even knee-jerk fashion. It is a know fact that China, especially Chinese diasporas have been living and thriving in Africa, As per the norm, Chinese diasporas are traders.
I recall soon after China signed a long term economic deal with Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a very impressive welcoming ceremony, as opposed to Joe Biden's "fist bump" with Saudi prince MBS, it spurred the US into action, and promptly organized a, "African Summit" in the US, promising $50 Billions for African development. If that is not a knee-jerk reaction, I don't know what it is !
China regards Africa as an investment as well as a partnership. It is a partnership because if Africa grows, it's market would grow accordingly, and that means Chinese export to Africa would do so too. So China might be losing money in some respects of its investment, it would recoup the loses eventually, in the long term. That is why China and the west don't think the same way.
But why? Because China doesn't have election cycles like the west. Once a deal or decision is made, it goes on to fruition, be it a loss or gain. The west would flip and flop at every election. Mind you, superiority complex also plays a big part in how the US/west regards Africa. Trump called Africa "Shit=house country". Well, Africa is not exactly a country, it is a continent. But one can't expect Americans to know better, can we?
The headline, what an insult to the intelligence of African countries and leaders, as though the US 35T debt is not a debt trap! Furthermore, do you want to associate with a country that is the world's manufacturer, leading in infrastructure development, leading in communications, 5G and 6G, leading in Green energy, Aerospace, lifted 800M ppl out of extreme poverty and now, even video gaming or the declining and warmongering West?
😂Western media nonsense
Africa is not for the west africa is for Africans
Naive to think Chinese are less greedy than any other country. Chinese are known for being good at calculations and the least charitable. Good luck Africa.
Hope Africans can depend on its own people one day. These concrete works are like dangling carrots, or how casinos let you win in the beginning before they take all of your money. China’s air, water, agriculture and food are good examples of what might happen to your country.
Europeans are using Thier brains , Africans are using Thier hearts and the chines are using Thier hands . Westerns are the cancer of Africa . We Africans should stand up together we have lots of resources but her children are living as is it's not their continent.
The Philippines fight China for the US ,and even sacrificed its own economy and people
People around the world, if you want to see a shared future for mankind (by China's initiatives) then you need to stand with China. Support China to support each other so that everyone can look out for each other.
This africa debt trap narrative is old. The idea that Africans are stupid and cannot make sound decisions for themselves is also getting old….
When you talk about debt trap… Africa owes the IMF and World Bank 1000 times what it owes China, on top of that they have never help will real life changing infrastructure projects.. Just lectures… Pathetic.
African becomes cash cow
Africa is owned by china!!! 😂😂😂
CHINA 🇨🇳 IS A BETTER PARTNER SO FAR
I am deeply GRATEFUL to CHINA! <3 The entire event was a complete success. Cheers and love from Singapore.
China and Africa cooperation is a win win relationship that will show the world , this is the only to go into the future. China is showing the world how a world leader is suppose to act.
This is the best news for Africa, building the future with great infrastructure and investment like the China did in the last 3 decades. Trust me 20 years from now we will have an Africa that’s bustling with economic activity , connectivity, communication, education, higher standards of living , reduced poverty etc. And what have the colonial powers or US done. ? Zero.
Debt concerns? US$, IMF, World Bank and the west are the real reason for the debt problems in Africa and globally. AJ is still funded by western propaganda money.
There are no free lunches. But it is a win win for both since Africa and China compliment each other. And China has been giving aid to Africa since 1956 and even set up a Chinese Medical Team in Africa to help Africa with health care since 1963. At that time, China was still very very poor. Yet CMTs are commended by many African countries for the high quality of medical care they provide, their specialist skills, reliability, and altruistic motivation to improve the health of their host populations. Tanzanian doctors interviewed for the study in Tanzania described the CMTs as “the backbone in the hospitals”, “quite skilled” and “like magic when doing surgery”.
From what I see, the loans IMF gives are for administrative expenses and things that often can't be tracked for impact. Maybe that is not always the case but this is a black pot anyway
The West is getting nervous because they see Africa and East Asia cooperating, growing, creating business and dominating the world economy. They cannot fathom that the people they once enslaved, brainwashed, imperialized and insulted are now becoming a critical part of the world dominance of East Asia. Let them complain all they want. No one in this world can stop the long lost cousins of Africa and Asia to continue to work together for the benefit of our people.
Lending money to African countries can be risky but, probably not as risky as leaving it in Amercan banks.
When AIJ is another bbc?
Over 80% of african debts are owed to the western countries… why wouldnt they take money from China. Lower rates, some even with no interest and most important of them all China dont interfere with their domestic policies. China has built more roads, hospitals, mines, factories than the whole U.S amd E.U combined. Of course they would favor China
Slave trade which help others stand firm. No talking about plundering
Gold Diamonds and toomany many
Natural Ressources?
They will not pay back AFRICANS but a debt😢
I am from Taiwan and has been trying hard to find relatively fair and honest reportings from international media as my daily reliable source of news consumption. One of my findings is that " when it comes to anything China, Al Jazeera is no different than Western mainstream media that exhibits a blaring agenda to demonize China“, which is really sad to say the least.
Another "at what cost" media inhabited by Western trained/aligned story writers
Good grief Al Jazeera……you just lost all credibility by still peddling the ridiculous and largely debunked "debt trap" nonsense. African countries are up to their eye balls in debt to the IMF….not China. You know the IMF Al Jazeera? That American controlled organisation? But of course you wont point that out because it doesnt fit your lame, old narrative that you are still peddling like an old age working girl on the street corner. Shame on you Al Jazeera. You are becoming as obvious a propaganda merchant as Western mainstream media…..
Those countries are not struggling because they owe money to China, but ineptitude and corruption are the reasons. Stop the political correctness and misinformation.
Notice, those paid American propagandists never mention the debt Africa owed to the West, but they always talk about the Chinese debt.
When the Chinese enter Africa, they bring economic construction.
when Westerners enter Africa, they are usually better at criticizing Africa's internal affairs and human rights rather than providing construction.
Thank you youtube for showing Western Imperialism. No one cared when the West did the same for decades.
UK, Japan and India didn't take loan from China. Yet debt to GDP over 100%.
Al Jazeera and Qatar promote Arab Springs. Be careful with this channel.
⚠️🇺🇸⚠️ USA World Bank and IMF is still the biggest mafia bank in the world! China is only 10% of debt in Africa. USA banks is 90% of global debt.
Jajaja the video do not mach the sound, as the gay say Chinesse use Chinesse labor in África you see they send all Chinesse african desendants, I know is profiling, but very funny 😂
Why do Western countries always up in other nations business???
Yet Africa owes most of its debt to IMF, World Bank and the West. So let the narrative reflect fact not propaganda
