I'm Moroccan and never seen chicken lemon Tajine with paprika. Basic rule: never add paprika to dishes that has onion 🧅 and safron!

You know it's authentic when you grate the onion vs. chopping……..enough said!!
I mage a version of this (adapted for a crockpot) in my dutch oven. I know it wasn't authentic Mlraccan, but it was delicious! I made it for my mother, who can't handle a lot of onion, so I substituted finely sliced shallot. I also reduced the garlic. It was still so incredibly flavorful.

I am sorry to write this down. But, we don't use paprika and cumin in a chicken tagine. Why? We distroy the color of Safran and 2 cumin takes over all the spices. Overall, amazing effort 👌
