  1. Can I substitute the brisket with more pork meat or does that change the whole recipe? I also want to leave out the smoked bones. Can I still do that is it not cachupa anymore? 😊

Greetings from Finland. Been interested in all things Cabo Verde and hope to visit there sometime soon.

  2. I tried this recipe yesterday and today, following each step exactly. The final product was perfect. I used crushed red pepper instead of the flakes which I could not find.Next time, I will use less. My sister-in-law Joanie is Cape Verdean from New Bedford, MA. She coached me on purchasing the 3 foods, with which I was not familiar. The Yuka, Chorico, and beef brisket. I enjoyed the challenge. So did my Boston family, and a few close friends like family via pictures and videos. Thank you for sharing…

  3. Thanks soooo much for the video greatly appreciated. Love how it’s in English. I’ve been married to my CV King for 11 years and I still don’t understand much creole. But this helps a lot!!!!

  4. This looks AMAZING! I haven't had cachupa since I was stationed in Boston 4 years ago. You did a FANTASTIC job on this recipe and video. It's clear, concise and has Lakey Inspired for background music!!!?!?! It doesn't get any better than this!! Talk about inspiring and relaxing while providing comfort food! I will definitely be binge watching your channel.

Do you have any other Cape Verdean recipes? Specifically Jagacida, chamuça and feijoada. I know that a lot of recipes are native to the specific islands, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your future content! Much love and respect!🥰💜
