Cape Verdean CusCus!!!


Cape Verdean Cuscus… soooo delish breakfast food!!! Finely grated white corn, on a double boiler and you have an easy, fiber rich breakfast food!!! Cook for 20-25 minutes

Ingredients
3 cups of corn flour
1 cup water
sugar to taste
cinnamon to taste

  1. I haven’t had CusCus since I was a child before my mamai died. Watching this made me tear up. Thank you! I live in LA so now I have to find where I can find yuca flour cuz I’m pretty sure that is what my mamai used. She would have her sister send her yellow flour in a bag from Cabo Verde and she would use this flower pot looking thing and seal the openings. I wish I had paid better attention back than to see what she was doing.

  2. When I was a kid I ate some cuscus dry without milk and I almost choked to death lol. I used to chill with my grandmother, watching her make it in the clay pot. Miss being a kid. Thanks for the video/memories
