Cape Verde took the early lead with two goals. Mozambique's goalie seem to misjudge the ball and just stood there until the last moment when he made a dive for the ball but it was too late. The second goal was a breakdown in defense and Cape Verde took advantage of Mozambique's carelessness. The third goal was a solid strike from beyond the penalty box. Mozambique's goalie seem to react late to the shot. Congratulation to Cape Verde the underdog as they move on to the final 16.
