I'll be honest, I just have a preference for fair skin. Of course I'll marry for love, but I'm human, I just like what I like. People ask me all the time, "Why don't you date black guys?", and I always say, "To me, we look like relatives, and also, am I supposed to?" Additionally, it doesn't help that throughout my childhood black people would constantly strip me of "blackness" when I didn't watch BET, use slang profusely or automatically crush on black men. Calling me a "half breed" didn't exactly sell me on dating members of a rather close-minded community. I'm not even half of anything.

You have to respect the parts of every racial group that >DO NOT< want to mix. There are White nationalists, Black nationalists, Asian nationalists, Indian nationalists, etc. And this is completely fine if a group of people wants to maintain their racial, ancestral identity. I think its empowering that Dr. Umarr wants Blacks to continue as a racial group (despite the fact he isnt the greatest example himself of championing Black nuclear family units), globalization and racial mixing is overwhelmingly unpopular with every group of people. Pew research confirms that only around 10% of all marriages are inter-racial. Overwhelmingly, people choose to marry and procreate within their race. There is nothing wrong with this. Forcing people to mix, is itself a form of racism.
Some people have thought that my kids were a mixed race, because my husband is a dark skinned Mexican and I am a light skinned Mexican 😄
