  1. I have a debit card, small investments with CIBC. Would it make sense to get the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite (I noticed it didn’t make the top 5 in any of these categories 😅) over the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite? I feel like there’s not much difference between the two. I’m planning to pair this to my AMEX Cobalt.

  2. 11:11 dream card. The minimum salary is high

12:51 free annual night keeper as well as making this my credit card for marriott related transactions

27:45 with the earnings not that good, if i apply on their credit cards, i would just do the spend to get the sign up bonus, transfer to american airlines to book japan airlines flights, then either cancel or product change

30:28 ummm, rbc should have applied these multipliers in their avion cc’s. Though looking at this card, the 3x gas is more enticing. Then again, we can buy gift cards on our cobalt and pay that for gas

32:04 I don’t think scotia bank gold amex should be on number one spot. Yes, it is still a problem here in canada about amex merchants. In other countries, it’s much worse. Also, we think of no foreign transaction fees, we buy stuff in foreign merchants. Either in person or online, we don’t mind that much in points or cashback. Even if we do, then the point multipliers in this card are not geared towards foreign purchases, as it’s stated in their website “in canada”

  3. I've been considering the cobalt card but I feel like I missed out on when the welcome bonus used to be 50k. Any speculation on if Amex will ever bump up the wb again and if it's worth it to wait?

  4. I’m very intrigued with MBNA now that there may be a connection with Alaska airlines and a potential Porter link now that Alaska and porter have a connection. Air miles used too be the only avenue to book Porter airlines with points (well other then Viporter) until this so I’m excited, porter is the only other airline that’s reliable from where we live other then air Canada which are not actually that reliable.anymore.

  5. Nice list. I would argue the Passport is better than Scotia Gold for no FX, as the multiplier still applies in other countries, whereas Scotia Gold is only 1x.
